Genesis 8 cannot be found after installing

I'm hoping you guys and girls can help me here. I've just come back to Daz after upgrading my laptop so it can run Iray.

Installed Daz initially to my D drive and did the same with Genesis 8 starter essentials. The problem is Daz cannot find the Genesis figure.

Uninstalled both and tried again after making sure I had all the right paths for installing in the Install Manager. Still no joy.

Set everything back to normal for installing to C drive. Including the Content manager in Daz its self. Still no joy.

At my wits end now cos I just want to get on with it. Have so many ideas and not able to get on with them.

have attached pics so you might be able to show me where on earth I'm going wrong.

p.s. All previous genesis figures installed ok to D drive and were found. Its just version 8 that it cannot find.

  • If you find Genesis 8 Starter Essentials in the Products tab of Smart Content and right-click on it do you get an option to Install or to Uninstall?

Nope. Shows all the content. As loaded the essentials seperately via the install manager.

If you are looking in the right place it will have either Install or Uninstall in the right-click menu.

Products and Categories rely on the database so if it is corrupted they won't work right.  Try loading from the DAZ Studio Formats of the Content pane.

  • Sorry for the very delayed reply. Moved house and everything was chaos.

Thank you for the info that sorted it. Now got to try the same with another product I bought this weekend. blush
