Hey All you Cats! Cleo the Cheetah Girl is Back for Genesis 8 Female!

You may have her older sister for Genesis 3, but now upgraded to work with Daz's new Genesis 8 Female format, Cleo will be your Go to Cat Girl for all your unique Sci-Fi and Fantasy renders.

Just like before, Whether you need a classic cat warrior out of a fantasy, or fierce but loyal agent from a race of hyper intelligent alien cat people, "Cleo" the Cheetah Girl for Genesis 8 Female, can help start you on your way to a whole bunch of anthropomorphic renders with and help increase your Genesis 8 Library!

Comfortable with a sword, wand, gun or a cell phone in her hand, this lovely cat woman will add some truly fantastic xeno-mophic diversity to your Genesis 8 renders.

As you can tell got a strong Skyrim connection with this. I am thinking of doing a Skyrim universe series, I could sure use this!  Wonderful work in any case. Will there also be a male version?

Looks great! I notice some of the promos show a tail, but others don't. Does she come with a tail or is the one shown 3rd party? Don't see it listed either way on the product page.

Cool.  Do you have any plans for a G8M version?  A black panther texture.  Ooh I love Panthers.

How about any other animals like a wolf?

I will try to get her as soon as possible.

I was curious how she'd look with my Oso Fur... I think I like it!

The Tail wasn't fully ready at the time so we're going to make it an update.

Glad you like how she looks.  G8M is "done" but we need to fix some textuer issues with him, we're getting some outside help on that.   Part of our update/addon for GM/GF8 will have other cat species heads and fur and tails and textures.

We're also working on Wolves, Foxes ect.  In fact we have a whole zoo in the works honestly.  :)

Good to hear! I'm glad to see a resurgence of Furry content in the store.

We have a few more things planed for her and her Male Counter part "Heathcliff"

If the female's name is "Cleo", wouldn't it make more "inside joke" sense for the male to be named "RiffRaff"?  Conversely, if the male is to be called "Heathcliff", then the female should be called "Sonya"

Yes, I caught the "nod and a wink" to the "Catillac Cats".

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Yes but we thoguht that would be TOOOOO on the nose. ;)

And since you got the joke, you'll love the other names we have in mind for future relases and updates/addons :3 :3 :3

Yeah we want to make really unique Anthros, and going to try some aliens, and robots if we get GeoGraphing down.  And with Dreamers help we hope to have our anthros use your Geoshell fur.  She showed us a WIP shes working on (and we helped her test some things with it) and I think you'll like what she came up with once it is relased. ^^v

what a beautiful render, all your iray shaders are awesome, hope we are lucky to see a Oso Fur Vol 2 or a Oso Feathered someday!

Awesome figure! And I'm looking forward to the upgrades, too. And I'll try to get the G3 version of her when I can as well as her male counterpart when he's released.

I have just a few requests on the upgrades:

Can you please make her cheetah ears mobile like a real cat's? I know it might be nearly impossible to do with morphs, but perhaps using geographs?

Can you also please create morphs to make her hands/fingers into a more paw-like shape?

And would it be possible to create morphs to simulate the feline-style of mammalian row of teats down her belly?

    Many thanks!

Ryuu: As someone else who does furries... wow, ears are tricky.

The problem is that while there's some mobility in ears at present (there are ear bones you can rotate a LITTLE), the G8 figures aren't built for a lot of ear flexibility. It's not straightforward adding flexibility; expand the range and use JCMs so ears bend better? Add a bunch of morphs? Create a totally new ear geograft?

I have in mind some longer ear furries myself, and I'm not at all sure what method is best.

I know that the ears would be problamatic with morphs--and pretty much impossible to do any sort of animated ear motions. However, from what I've heard about geographs, I hope it is possible to have feline ears (or any other animal-style ears) with a full range of swivel, tilt, and fold bones while not impacting any of the morphs for the head they would be attached to.

Yeah, for my stuff I'm strongly leaning toward geografts. It also allows to have less stretched out mesh/uv, which is another issue.

Genesis 2 had some cool geograft cat ears that could be moved around.

  • If you all get geografting right for gen8 I will be broke! LOL

    1) We ARE working on new Geograph ears but as Oso  said they are hard to work with. The ears most likely will be part of the full update (along with new textures)

1a)  We're getting Geograph down, and a tail is first in the works that we're trying to make as unque as possible compared to other Geo graph tails in the past ^_^)

    2) More paw like Hand's we'll see if we can do, we already have Paw like feet and digidegrade legs planed.

    3) That is possible just not sure which update it'll be for.

  • Oh, since there's going to be a male version of Cleo, will there be any cubs in the works, too? Or does the Growing Up For Genesis products work on them already?

Also, quick question, I'm looking for the scifi suit Cleo's wearing in your 1st promo picture. I can't recall where I've seen that before.

    Thanks!

We're not quite skilled enough yet in making Youth Morphs, but we have some ideas, Mostly "Toony" Look alike characters which we hope to bring into the Gen8 Libary, but not sure how soon we can realisticly get to them. But for the more "realistic" type young characters currently we've been able to get young Anthro characters by using already exsisting Models

For example the two teen sons here are made from Mixing Connor and Nathanial with our Heathclif character, the Baby Cleo is using Cleo with a baby girl morph, and the dad I think is Heathcliff, Daurus8 and Edward8.  Have not tried "Growing up" morphs with them, but considering already pre-exsisting Gen8 Morphs work on Cleo and Heathcliff in our tests, I'm sure Growing Up should work fine as well.

  • hey there. i''m the guy workign on the cleo and heathcliff figures.  now that i have my vedor-ship all set up i can start giving updates on the progress of AVP figures and the cats specifically. due to some issues with the morphs at testing i have had to completly redo heathcliff and i will have to go back and make sure the same fixes are in cleo.  i have made a geograft for the ears and tail on heathcliff, but they still need JCMs and rgidity modifyers.  the plan is to make ALL our geografts work with other possible body and head morphs without needing extra steps and so they can take on other geografts on top of them.

any feedback or advice is appreciated

    The ears look great.

But to be honest, I was hoping for a more anatomically correct tail, like we see with https://www.daz3d.com/midnight-skeleton-anatomy-pack or here:

    image

Unfortunately, it looks like yours is the usual "belt-tail" where the tail is attached to and branching off of the spine above the pelvis, rather than being an extention of the spine below the pelvis.

I've got several of those...and while I've managed to get passable felinoid figures (so long as I don't have the camera behind them) by sharply bending down the tail root and using the first 2-3 tail segments to fill in the crack between their glutes and pretend Tail 3 or Tail 4 (depending on the model) is the start of the figure's tail--but it ALWAYS results in an unacceptable kink at the Tail Base/Tail 1 junction (and sometimes kinks at the segment where the tail should really begin, too).

I do appreciate it may be difficult, or even impossible, to geograph a tail base that would fill in the figure's glute crack and have the tail begin below the pelvis--if that's the case, then can you please at least fix the sharp kinks that will inevitably happen when I need to bend the Tail 1 segment all the way down? That would be a huge help!

Sorry about being so picky, but so far, this is the best looking felinoid I've seen here so far. I certainly want Cleo & Heathcliff to stay looking the best!

This looks great but I think I'll wait on getting it till the tail upgrade comes out.

One way to avoid the belt tail is to unparent the tail from the figure, stick it inside the model and use the parameter dials to direct it the way you want. Then parent the tail back to the figure.
