Help Getting Rid of "Orphan Annie" Eyes in Genesis 8 renders

I'm not sure what's going on.  The colored irises show up on the figure, in the pane, but when I render in Iray, there is no color - in other words "Orphan Annie" eyes.,  It's just with the basic Genesis 8 figure.  The morphed figures seem to be okay with colored irises.  Any ideas what I can do to correct this?  Thanks in advance!

    Rendering in IRAY or 3Delight?

Sometimes I had a problem with eyes, but I applied the eyes of another character I bought, usually that works. So you can in some cases use other eyes.

I'v been rendering in IRAY, and I've tried compatible figures' eyes, but it still comes out as "Orphan Annie" eyes.

Do you know how to access the surfaces tab Debbie?

You could look at the surface of "iris" in the surfaces of the figure.(Acces also via Menu -> Windows -> Panes -> Surfaces. )

I had something similar happen to me recently with Genesis 8, and I have no idea where it came from.  Both eyeballs were grayed out.  I re-applied the entire character material, and they still were gray, both in render and preview mode.  Very strange.  I just deleted the character and started over.  Everything worked from then on.

  • I tried once more to add color to the G8 figure eyes.  I used one of the colors for another G8 figure, and it worked!  I have no idea why it didn't work before, but I"m satisfied, and can now finish my Christmas card design.
