WHAT IS THE "PRODUCT" FOLDER!?!?!? SOLVED!
Hello Richard! (Haseltine)
There's a question sure for stupid that make me crazy.
To try my new product completed, I made, through DS a new DAZ3D folder to simulate a new fresh Daz Studio folder, like if nothing is installed before.
Then I put manually my product folder starting with "data" and I put in My Library folder that DS has create.
When I click on the character to load, everything is ok, shaders, textures, skin, any presets, also renderin is perfect.
The only idiot thing that appear immediately after click the character preset and before to load it appear a message that say " data/daz 3d/genesis 3/female/morphs/max-s/product/pbmnavel.dsf
data/daz 3d/genesis 3/female/morphs/max-s/product/phmmouthrealismhd.dsf".
In the pic 1 the original message and the pic 2 you see everything is ok, while the pic 3 you see the path and the "product" folder inside "Max-S" folder and so on.
And, what is the "product" folder that I find in my Max-S folder?! There's inside lot of FBM modifiers probably for Genesis 3 and if I try to move on desktop DS ask me for any my own characters "missing this, lost that, i need blabla and I want blibli!
If there's a path to set, is good thing to know, otherwise if my customers find that messagges when install my products probably will catch me with the tanks! Looool!
Thanks Richard!

The Product folder gets its name from the Product name in the options dialogue when yousaved the morph (or figure) asset. Are those all your own morphs, or have you created a new figure asset from the base Genesis 3? It does sound a bit as if you've done the latter, which wouldnm't be the correct way to handle anything you wish to sell or share (and isn't a good diea on general principle). Please describe what you did in creating your product and it may be easier to see where the issue is.
Ahhh! Great Rivhard! Bellieve me, I thought exactly the same thing. Well I explain you.
My characters are FBM G3 based, not new characters asset (for now)
Usually I do my character morphs using the standard procedure for sell, and, in the save moprh asset menu I write all infos, included the PRODUCT. All this exactly cause my vendor name is Max-S. Ok. Probably, and here the issue, sometimes ago I save a character morph but I forgot to change the name that DS use as default (Product) and never I changed. Probably DS remember that and do this for me, or 2nd idea could be I change some path. Anyway the Morph Asset menu to save my characters usually I don't touch. Yesterday I tried to remove that folder "product" and everything works ok, just to re-save the morph in the right way and it's ok. Later I will try to put my package in a new DS again to see what happen. In the new DS for test I will install G3F only (my characters is for G3F based). I see in my "product" folder that seems like. Sonds like DS made a duplicate. If you need more infos tell me.
Note : In the product folder there are many of the FBM, eCM, clones and so on that I've installed time before (I' don't use them anyway cause my morphs I'm going to modelling in ZBrush, so removing that folder and give the right path works well) and that "product" folder is in my Max-S vendor folder where are all my characters.
Yes, the folder location (as long as it is in Moprhs) doesn't seem to be crucial - though you can uncompress the .dsf file (with an archive utiltiy like 7Zip or with the Batch Convert pane in DS) and edit the path (remembering that the character set is the one valid for URLs, so you may need to replace some characters with their codes - e.g. %20 for a space).
Good! And, if I delete that folder and I save the morph after, when the folder is no more in the Morphs folder? Anyway for safe I didn't delete it, just moved on desktop.
I will try to open the .dsf file of the morph character and I let you know!
Hello Richard! The mistery of the folder "product" easy to explain. When i saved time ago some character I forgot to change from "product" default folder to "Max-S" folder, my vendor name. So, all the base JCM's been stored in that folder. When I deleted it, some characters ask for this or that jcm I used before.
Thanks Richard for your help! See soon at the next ... Daz "secret"! Lol!!!!!
I'm glad you were able to figure it out.
Lol!!! That's right! You gave me right directions! Thanks!
