ToolTips Fails

ToolTips don't show despite hovering over the icon for extended periods. I have tried extensions *.duf.tip.png and *.tip.png. The .png is 256x256, generated from Daz. I have set and reset Edit->Preferences Content Tab "Show File Info Tool Tips in Content Library" about 20 times. Restarted Studio a similar number. Still my tooltips don't show. My viewports get focus properly when the cursor hovers over the various buttons. Is there a setting that I am missing? Could it be the video card?

I could try reinstalling Daz 4.10. What do you think? I'm Seriously afraid of messing up the database. I've spent years incorporating non-Daz clothing and props into the database. Losing all that work is scary.

You can export user data, which should be you custom categories, using the Content DB Maintenance dialogue from the Content Library pane option menu. You can also back-up the Content Cluster folder which has the whole database.

However, I'm not at all sure that the database has anything directly to do with tool tips. is it possible that a mouse driver update has confused things?

Agree that the database will not cause the tootip problem. If I were to reinstall Daz to address the problem, I want to be rock sure that I won't mess up the database.

Will change mice and see if that makes a difference. Alas, all my mice are Logitech, so will have to acquire a different mouse for testing.

Success. And I have no idea why. After many attempts tooltips started working. Go figure. The only thing different this time was that I toggled Disable Animations as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. Was not looking forward to a reinstall. If the database went sideways, there would be hundreds of hours of work down the drain.
