DAZ Connect and Older Items

I am posting this question here prior to opening a Support Request. Hopefully someone will recognize the issue and already have a fix...

I recently purchased a couple of older items that are DAZ Connect supported. They show up in the Install panel, and I install them there, no problem.Then the item immediately appear in Smart Content > Updates. When I attempt to update, DS crashes with a "fatal error" message.

Other items purchased at the same time (and of the same age) appear in "Install" but when I install, I get the same "fatal error" message. In this case, after re-starting DS, the product header appears in Smart Content, but with no assets, just an "Update" button. Selecting the Update button causes the same fatal error.

Uninstalling the failed install from within DS makes no difference. Locating the directory and deleting that makes no difference.

Running maintenance on the database makes no difference.

Any ideas?

  • Are theer files if you browse to the folder location? Can you open any thumbnails or textues there may be in an image editor?

  • Thanks for the reply...  I will take a look. Work has been busy, so I haven't had a chance.

    I did manage to install the same items on a different computer, so its not an issue with the files themselves.
