Carrara Animation Site

I am starting a website for CARRARA enthusiasts who want to focus on animation and need a few people to help with finalising the site by offering opinions and suggestions before it goes public.

If interested - and you dont have to be "Expert" as the site is for everyone including beginners - feel free to get involved.

    Not sure what you mean ?
    The site is intended for Carrara users but a lot of C users use DS as another tool for their movies so from that aspect DS will get some discussion..
    I would welcome your inputs bigh - you use Carrara don't you..

    I use Carrara for animations and would be interested in a forum for like minded individuals. I really don't use Daz Studio, but I understand why some Carrara enthusiasts might use it in their project pipelines (I.e I used it a couple of times in a iPisoft to Daz Studio to Carrara workflow).

    As with any new site, an early challenge will be with establishing policies that dictate the focus and purpose of the site.
    For example, will it be a site for:
    - only those who render animations in Carrara
    - those who use Carrara in any part of their animated projects
    - only those who animate in Carrara
    - a combination of the above
    - providing/receiving constructive criticism to help improve knowledge and skills
    - keeping informed of good examples of use in the marketplace, on Youtube/Vimeo/social media, etc.
    - etc..

    If you are interested in early site design feedback, send the link so I may take a look..

    I agree with CyBoRgTy, and have the same questions. In particular, what advantage will the new site have over the DAZ Animation forum? I realize it will be specific to Carrara, but that can be done here with a specific thread.

    I must first apologise for not responding earlier to several questions above - I think I missed them because there is another thread I started and which I followed. Also threads on the cafe needed monitoring so along with some feedback I've been getting I've been pretty busy.

    I start with SteveK's Question -In particular, what advantage will the new site have over the DAZ Animation forum ?

    It's more than just a forum.     The intention is to bring together people who have a primary interest in animating with Carrara and provide everything in one place in the way of links to tutorials, links to resources of interest to movie makers ,showcase for movies made with Carrara /Daz / and other software etc and a Forum to discuss and exchange knowledge and help newbies. We want it to be not only about Carrara software but movie making and collaboration. It's something I wished was available to me a long time ago especially when I started out (and by the way I still consider myself a newbie ).

    OK, I sent the email. Oddly, the email address only showed up when I quoted your message for a response. I do have Javascript enabled in my Google Chrome browser.
