There already exists a pretty good thread with lots of tips: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/228061/3d-comic-book-tips-and-pictures#latest
Oh, i've searched for it, but cannot find.
Thank you.
I can ask to an admin to close this thread for not create duplicate?
Then again if you are looking for 2D comics, this may be a good thread!
I always wanted to try this Comipo software, and finally had an hour. After reading this tutorial: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=881541598
...the below left took literally 10 min's to make! I like the quick process, and custom libs. The left is ComiPo's default character and poses/expessions, etc. The right is using Sakura 8 and Visual Style Shaders renders imported as PNG into the same comic. Different style, different tastes! I like both of them! :)
This is going to be a fun thread.
Over on Deviant Art are some active users, generous free add-on resources for Comipo, as well as some content creation tutorials.
Yeah, Comipo is an interesting and compelling start to a decent 'get it done' tool. I think in the right hands it could be a complete solution for someone wanting to simply tell stories. I can see using DS to create backgrounds, and using DS-exported objs as props in Comipo. Figure-wise, migrating anything more than static DS character exports doesn't seem plausible, but even that would work in a pinch.
Interesting tool, but I don't see it as a replacement for a good 3D tool like DS/Carrara/..., but rather a complimentary tool for layout using a variety of source materials.
@3DOutlaw, you made me laugh!

*GASP!* Is that font Comic Sans? @3dOutlaw
Well, it is a Comic thread
SIncerly i search to make comics with DAZ3D + other software, but if you guys like this thread, can still to update this.
ComiPo/Daz test updated above. Took me a while to get back to this. It took probably 1 hour to get the Daz renders...using Visual Style Shaders. Super Simple import and paste. Silly story, but fun project!
@3dOutlaw That looks great! :D
That's why you shouldn't use it. :D
If you're looking for an alternative to Comic Sans, there's some nice handwritten fonts available at Google Fonts, some of them looking like they'd be appropriate for a comic.
https://fonts.google.com/?category=Handwriting
LOL! Now I know...though they lost me at, "If it came free on your computer, it's not a professional lettering font!" I am all about "free". How about something like this?
Yea, those are nice too, and the price is right!
I'm looking for a font that gives an arabic vibe, but obviously I need it to be latin letters, anybody has an idea?
More lettering advice here: http://www.blambot.com/articles_grammar.shtml
And here: http://www.blambot.com/articles_tips.shtml
Download the trial version of Comic Life and it come with a load of comic fonts for free. It's great software for producing comic with too.
For Arabic fonts, maybe start here: http://www.fontriver.com/foreign_look/arabic/ (though I don't think many of them would work well in a comic)
Blambot also has lots of free fonts that can even be used commercially for indie comics.
Thanks a lot for the links, yes readablilty is a thing. its ok if it's a bit harder to read so there is that " i don't understand" moment, but further into the pages its essential to get used to it. I'll probably will make some test panels with some of them
Hi, someone use MediBang for his comics?
Hey gang! I'm not going to claim to be a professional comic artist, but right now I am working on a comic book story using Daz Resources, Poser Pro and Manga Studio 5 EX (aka Clip Studio Paint). Here's a sample panel from the book.
BTW: Even though I'm using Poser as my base tool, most of what I talk about is aplicable to any workflow that starts with 3D renders. My blog is work safe and does not have ads. If you do enjoy anything at my site, please leave a comment.

has new comic stuff
that's looking cool @mmitchel-houston
Seems there is a lot on your site, will take some time to have a look through all that, thanks for the links!
Hey folks :) Many thanks for this thread and the information contained within. I intend to study, carefully.
Just by way of information I did a few really, really basic render "novels", based on The Secret World and then Secret World Legends game from Funcom. I had no training and to be honest although they are ok, but not the best in terms of layout, structuring or rendering. They were training tools for me. However I have some time on my hands and I want to upgrade them a fair bit.
The links to the novels on the Funcom Forums are :
The First Book - "The Return to Outpost 94":

The Follow Up - "A Helluva Point":
https://forums.funcom.com/t/a-helluva-point-a-graphic-render-novel-by-hollopoint/447?u=hollopoint
Beware swarey words though :)
I'm just wondering how to proceed in terms of style and sharder and all that, but I'm sure I'll figure a process out upon studying the above posts.
Any advice and/or comments welcome.
Edit: No worries all, I've bought the Comic Creation Foundation Course. I'm consider and see what I can do from here. Sorry if it seemed like I wanted my hand held :)
I like the ComiPo! as well. Just tried some OpenGL render from Daz Studio.
Ok, took me a while to locate where you had asked this question, @Linwelly. I just ran across this free font (personal & commercial) and recalled that you were looking for a latin font with some "arabic vibes". Unsure if you're still looking for it, but I'll leave the link here just in case: https://dealjumbo.com/downloads/abbasy-calligraphy-free-font/
Thanks a lot for that link that looks very promising, @Gigi_FenixPhoenix I'll have to go for some testing with it seems goo to read but still different
