The Video you dream to make.

edited December 1969 in Art Studio

So here is a question, what is the video that you dream you can make. Pick a single 3d animation that epitomizes what you love and wish you could do with your software. :) I'll start it off with the Star Citizen 300i Space Ship Commercial. The emotions it evokes, the cinematic style, and the way each bit of the animation fits perfectly with each other bit.

Actually if you had a pretty decent computer and maybe even a small render farm, I can see that being doable using Carrara.

The Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV Series. That style of animation just speaks to me. I love the Animation style, the cinematography style and story telling. I plan to do animation in that style but without toon figures. I'm just waiting on my new PC to ship.

I guess you mean remake, so:

Especially the 15 seconds starting at ~2:55.

Yeah., you could do it in Carerra. But also, something like that would be quite straightforward to do with Daz and Octane (and a bit of work in After Effects). You could even do it in Daz with the built-in 3Delight renderer, if you were willing to wait for the render time to get the image quality you wanted.

Absolutely, I agree this can be done in Carrara. And I even have a renderfarm to do it with. But somehow it never seems to get done. My animations come out as cute little things with no depth nor emotional content. The limiting factor, sadly, is the artist.

Here is a compilation of game cinematics and epic music that (with the exception of the Harry Potter trailer stuck inside) brings me to tears it's so beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU7SGn0MeP0&list=TLOqtLuD9UGq4

But it's not just the beauty, it's how everything works together.... the natural movement, the swaying hair... But show me the stuff you want to be able to do... even if you can't do it yet. :)

P.S. If anyone can get Carrara Hair to move in an animation like the final fantasy hair I would love to hear it!
