Strange voodoo in DS :o)

Hi all, I don't know if anyone else has experienced this..but here goes. So I open DS and start doing stuff, because I am pretty much re-learning the software. I usually select work offline, because I find phone home stuff "questionable". Anyhow I was trying different stuff in DS..and my wifi disconnected (it uses one of those usb port antennae things to connect to router across the room)..it just happens briefly then reconnects, but still.. weird huh..lol. It only happened when I opened DS and started opening menus.. no other software does that when opened..such as Poser, blender, etc. I don't really consider it a big issue though..coz I still enjoy DS.. it has really come a long ways :o)

Did you opt in to the Product Improvement Programme? That also connects to Daz, though not to your account (it's anonymised data).

Hi Richard, no I didn't join anything. I do at times go online to Daz.. such as when I need DIM to install a new item. I am guessing because DS is hardware intense, especial that iray stuff.. it may be with my usb drivers, or maybe a crosspath glitch in the program that drives the wifi usb dongle, or even this new nvidia card.. it goes nuts at times..then recovers. But as I said.. it's weird..but for the most part harmless :o)
