Hi all,
Yet another issue with the Environment. Its skewed at the "bottom" very subtly in this render but if you look closely there is a definitive line. What am I doing wrong?! Thanks for any help!

The image you are using as a background has a seam. Either you have it in the Environment Map and it isn't a continuous panorama, it repeats at both ends so gives a seamless join, or the HDRI hasn't been aligned correctly when produced and there is a difference between those to images when they were stitched. Either way it is the image and not Studio at fault.
Ok cool thanks! Can you tell me what background HDR or HDRi's specs I should be getting?
Actaully- What is an HDRi? Is that a visible background picture that also gives off light with a 360 degree view? I still get all the termanology mixed up...
I want backgrounds that wrap around my scene that also give me the light.
When looking for an HDRI there are two options that will come up. The photographic one that isn't of use and the 360º wrap around one that will give light. These HDRI need to be in a 2:1 ratio, i.e, 4000 pixel wide by 2000 pixel high and multiples of this, they can go up to 16000 pixels wide which give a better image.
Here is a post with a list of sites with free HDRI which will work in Studio, some better than others.

thank you!!
Can anyone tell me why the background is so magnified? None of the parameters under 'Environment' seem to correct the issue. How do I fix this? Thank you :)
The background in my scene is not to scale to everything else. None of the parameters seem to change this. Apart from 'Dome Rotation', nothing else changes. I'd like to be able to make it look further away, and to scale of course. Can someone please help?! Thank you!!!
If that rock image is on the environment dome I don't think you can do this. The dome surrounds the scene. If you make the dome bigger you just get an enlarged image further away and since the image is wrapped round the entire dome, each part of the image always covers the same angle. The only way I can think of doing this is to use a paint program to tile the image and load the modified image onto the dome. Either that, or use a different image.
Merged threads. You can edit the subject line in the first post to something like Environment issues if you like.
