get hair to snap to head. [Solved]

Hi, I wanted to test out three figures and give them all the same hair. Rather than create the hair separately for each figure I just duplicated the nodes but, when I changed the parent and fit nothing happened. That's worked before for me. What am I missing?

    Parent-changing wouldn't do anything if Parent in Place is on (in the Change Parent dialogue or the Scene pane option menu). Changing the fit option for a conforming figure, however, should work - and duplicates don't, or shouldn't, have any link to the original that would stop it from working.

    Thanks Richard for the reply. I'll have a good look at it when my render is finished. Thank for that. I feel I've got something to work with. You alwasy get it spot on. I restarted Daz and when I reopened it changing the Fit worked perfecting even though it wasn't a supported figure. It must have been glitching the first time.
