I'm looking for wings. Yeah yeah yeah, there are epic wings and steampunk babydoll wings...

I need a pair of wings for my Genesis character that are kind of synthetic. One of this character's wings is synthetically put on, and I'd like some circuits or something to show. The steampunk wings look great and I could have tweaked 'em but they don't go onto Genesis like at all. :-)

Anybody got any ideas? The page of the comic that reveals this character's wings is coming up fast so I'm kind of biting my nails after weeks of looking.

    What sort of base style of wing? There are feathered types (griffin wings, etc.,) Membranous (Popobawa, etc.,) Fairy-style (Petal Fae, etc.,) or 'technological' (Sickle Yield's Bladed Wings - can't find a link for those, sorry!). Those are all native Genesis, but the Gen 4 wings of all sorts will work if you parent them (NOT conform!).
    Regardless of the wing type - if it has one or more surfaces you can apply pretty much what texture you like.

    Well they would be angelic type wings. I have the epic wings, and those would be GREAT - the problem here is that my mat-fu isn't strong enough to add gears and circuits to the right shoulder joint. So I had thought I would take the Steampunk wings and blend them, and managed to sort of do so using the cherubim wings but... I admit I'm not completely satisfied. It just feels off.

    I also have the bladed wings but they don't quite work either. :-)

    Try Runtime DNA in the forum freebies, they have several tech wings, you need to be registered and signed in to download them. They don't have wires, but they do have gears.

    I really like the Wings of Chaos. If I can figure out how to blend them into a more "traditional" feathered wing that might work. But their structure seems too different.

    I have the Steampunk wings - in the end I only used one gear.

    Like attached: but these wings are sorely lacking. And the cherubim wings don't go onto genesis without going funky so I have to manually move them about. For a comic not so much. (Same goes for the Steampunk wings BTW.) So I was thinking of maybe doing something like this to the Epic wings.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be cruising around, hoping to find something in a corner somewhere. I've already combed Daz3d, Renderosity and RuntimeDNA.
