The Eastern Dragon is posed essentially the same way. It's a lot of work to pose it.

Yikes! makes my skin shrivel, just thinking about lying on that rocky ground shirtless!

At least he's getting some cuddles from his pet centipede.

Strings (by the same artist) has the same problem - no poses and no "easy pose". You can select multple segments and bend all those at once, but that is about it. I tried to use the Active Pose tool on one of the Strings (rope), and it crashed Daz Studio with a stack overflow.

I bought strings as well. Impossible to use

thatseems weird to me that people would still make things hard to pose, when the tech exists to make it easier.

Yeah, If he plays it smart and just lets it crawl over him I think he’s good. Given it doesn’t have a mouthhat opens he probably won’t get bit! =-)

I was going to ask in the tech forum but I figure you know this problem quite well.

I put pants on a character and the belt buckle is so warped I'm tempted to let this cop (It's the H&C NYC cop uniform - I am doing a "for fun promo render" in Novica's thread) run around like Winnie the Pooh.

Suggestions on how to fix? It's not the only issue with this uniform product but the one aggravating me most.

This happens so often. You can try selecting the belt or select the pants and belt and see which morphs are applying to it and dialing those out. Sometimes muscularity will warp the belt. If you select the belt and show the properties it will show the morphs applied to that clothing item. Dialing those out can stop say the abs from making the belt all wonky.

if you have fit control you can also use that as well.

OK, thanks. I was just using plain G8M body so not too muscular at all. I will have to leave it be.

Boyd with a haircut at the beach wearing Fiends Forever SeasShore texture expansion ex\pansion: .https://www.daz3d.com/seashore-for-fiends-forever-male-base

I  love the fiends forever set because the textures are by ShanasSoulMate are really so colorful and interesting. She/he is one of my favorite texture makers. This set is designed for Gen 2 male but fits Gen8, just fine.

"He". He was the boyfriend/husband of former Rendo PA Shana. She died unexpectedly, and he started out by finishing some of her projects, then went off in his own direction, as I recall.

I can't remember ever looking at the Fiends Forever stuff before. I completely forgot that there were ever any male Fiends.

There is the Seashore pack which compliments the base shorts and shirt included with the fiends forever shorts and shirt and there is this texture expansion https://www.daz3d.com/revolution-for-fiends-forever-male-base. Which goes with the rebel outfit sold separately.

This is the Rebel outfit for G2M autofitted. It isn't a bad fit for an autofit, and would work as a casual or workout kind of set.

I passed on that set because all I saw were toon renders and I almost never do toons. Had I seen how good it looked on a more realistic figure I'd have snapped it right up. Now thanks to you & Boyd, it's in my wishlist along with the extra texture packs, waiting for the next sale.

I think you will like the set. The shorts and shirt come with the Fiends Forever character. It has textures, but they aren't as appealing as the ones by Shana's Soulmate

I experimented with converting the outfit, vs autofit, and I think this set looks better using autofit. When I used Riversoft's converter on the shorts, the groin had a weird bulge, which is disappointing. Autofit handled the crotch better. The shirt looks better with smoothing applied.

Here are a couple more with the Seashore textures applied.

And on the topic of Women's outfits that fit the boys, here is: https://www.daz3d.com/skate-party-outfit-and-poses-for-genesis-8-females

It is worth noting there are no rollerskates for men available, so if you want a skating character, you'll have to use female shoes. The shoes and socks need to have their scene ID changed to fit the boys. They did not autofit well.

Looks good on him, I'll have to try that changing scene ID trick for male fits. I hope it isn't too arcane, have not had a chance to play with my Daz or even Poser in ages. RL has been a bit too hectic lately and shows no sign of slowing down. :sigh:

The scene id works best for certain types  of items.

    1. Load the item into your scene unparented.

    2. Select the item

    3. Right click on scene tab

    4. Select Edit

    5. Select Scene Identification

    6. Find Genesis 8 male

Now you can fit the item as you might fit any other clothing item. If it fits well, you can save the piece of clothing for later.

Here are all of the new PTF Eyepocalypse styles. I really like these sets. I wanted to do test renders to see how they all looked.

This was another texture for the skate party outfit. One thing that is neat, is that each texture set contains different balloon colors. =-)

BTW, with the issue of belts not fitting right- sometimes I will select the piece of clothing and actually apply the POSE and they shift slightly or go in to place. Doesn't always work.

Well, it is ifather's day, so here is a picture of Owen and his grandfather.

The most influential person in Owen's life is his beloved Irish Grandfather Dr. Silas Kelly. Silas and his wife adopt Owen, when his mother loses custody of him at the age of 6.

Silas taught Owen to like unlikeable people, to love  animals, not to allow the unkind things people say to bother him, and how to protect himself. He also instilled a very latent rebellious streak, and a disregard for society's rules in Owen which manifests later on in the stories.

Grandfather was convicted at 17 of theft from a megacorp where he worked.  although he was innocent, the people who framed him were quite good, and the megacorp attorney's scrub his name from the corporations top inventions, all of which later went on to make billions.

Instead of seeking vengeance for this wrongdoing, Silas began life over again, repairing old tech in the market for the poorer citizens, referring and repairing things, that were old and  pursing his hobbies of extremely lifelike robotics and chips on the side in his own secret lab. Over the years, Grandfather earns enough to open a robotics shop, and becomes involved in the Brain underground railroad  liberation movement. When war began, Grandfather, repaired drones for the city, and the military, ironically getting to work on some of his own designs.

Grandfather prefers to remain anonymous, and actively encourages society's views that he is a harmless, old man. It is just easier that way.

I've missed so much lately, but I had to comment on what a great family resemblance portrait this is.

yeah, Owen and Grandad look a lot alike. Owen's a bit more bulky but only because he has to be fit in the Marines. Grandfather has red hair which hopefully one of Owen's kids may have! =-)

    Happy July 4th everyone! (Belatedly).

And yes, I finally got to use one of those hotdog carts in my runtime.

In this image, Boyd gets to try hotdogs for the first time. As a child, junk food was not allowed, and as a brain, he drank the future equivalent of Ensure, so, when he gets a body, he has to learn what foods he likes all over again.

He looks douchy-hot with those shades. I hope I'm allowed to say that? Like Roller Husser on the TV show Claws.

LOL, good one. That reminds me that my friend down the street her mother would allow her nly one bowl of cereal in the morning. We could have as much as we wanted but that usually meant my 2 youngest brothers ate it all before I got out of bed. Reach to shake the box and hear the laughter & know I don't even need to shake that box. It's empty.

Somewhat off topic but maybe still relevant. I'm looking for a hoodie for G3M/G8M, this is on sale right now. https://www.daz3d.com/i13-hq-hoodie-for-the-genesis-3-female-s  Any idea how well it fits to the guys or should I keep hunting?
