Hair

Is there any way to make 'realistic' hair in Daz Studio just like in Blender with the help of node mode?

Comments

  • Look at My Hair is the only in-DS option for creating strand-based hair.

  • Can I do it on a model that already has hair? If yes, how?
  • You mean using the existing hair model? No, though there is an add-on product that will try to set the hair to work with dForce (but that can't turn layered transmapped hair into sttrand hair, and can't guarantee to work with all sets) https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-master-hair-simulation-presets-for-dforce-cloth-engine

  • can you export the Blender hair as obj?

I am not familiar with node mode but know particle hair can be exported

    is ridicculously highpoly though

  • Can I be able to make realistic hair in this tool? And if yes, how it works.

Other than the Look at My Hair tool that Richard mentioned, there aren't any native tools in Daz Studio to create hair. The Carrara product does have hair creation tools, but you will have to stay in that tool as the resulting hari can't be exported for use in Daz Studio.

  • How to use dForce?

well actually with a plugin by Philemo it can

but the OP is probably better off trying to export from Blender if it's possible

I don't know what node hair is, only particle hair

are many videos like this one on it

it can look like straw if too thick
