Dynamic Clothing Control reinstall

I recently got back into Daz Modeling and needed to install everything (new computer). A few years ago I purchased the Dynamic Clothing Control.  I went to use it the other day and discovered that although the plugin was installed the serial number number had  not yet been entered. I looked up the S/N and entered it. The informatin box said I needed to close DS and reopen it to activate the plugin.  I shut down, restarted and the plugin was no longer there.  Since then I've tried about everyting I can think of. When I installed everything this time using the CM it had installed the plugin and after it disapeared it showed on the "Installed" section of the CM. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it without success.  I've tried everyting up to and including uninstalling everyting, deleting the content directory and deleting everything from the CM directory, rebooted and reinstalled just DS postgre  and the clothing control. I also tried using the download installer without success.  It reported: "The installation path for Daz Studio could not be found".  I located the .ini and put a copy in the directory I was trying to install from but it still returned the same error.

I am useing Windows 10. DS 4.10, and Dynamic Clothing Control for DS 4.10 (Everything is installed as 64 bit).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The Dynamic Clothing installer should be compatible with the current version, assuming it's a fresh download in DIM. Can you go to the folder you installed DS itself to and check that there's a dzoptitexclothcontrol.dll file in the plugins folder - e.g. C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins

    hi,  yes it's there. Do you want me to delete it so it gets a clean install?

    No, don't delete - that is the plug-in (well, one of) for the Control version. I was just checking that it was installed. Since it is there you should be getting something, if only an error message, in Help>About Installed Plug-ins (it shows an entry for every .dll file, as far as I know).

    Well, that is where I've been checking after every change I've made and its never shown up since it disapeared.  It appears there now. Is the spot for the SN suppose to be there or is that not shown once you've entered it once?  Also, I seem to remember in some of my research into this that it said to remove the basic version befoe installing the purchased one. Obviously that is that as well.  Should I didable it?  I've attached a screen shot of the plugin window area that includes these plugins.

    That is as it should be. Yes, the serial number is remembered. No, you don't need to d anything with the basic version of the plug-in - the isntaller for Control will rename it to disable it. You should now have the extra properties in the Dynamic Clothing pane - do you? Do you have the Dynamic Clothing pane at all, in Windows>Panes(Tabs)?.

    a'las, I have the pane and it appears to be working.  Thanks for the help.  I'm not sure what happened but its there now.
