Something weird happening when opening doors on car model

I bought this car last year and totally forgot I had it till recently. It is a PT Cruiser. When I try to open the doors and hood this weird thing happens. This doesn't happen with the rear hatch though. Any thoughts on how this could be corrected?

What program is that in ?
If it's DS4 then the model needs "fixed" as the vertices in the door are too close to the vertices in the surrounding area, and have been welded together.
where did you buy it from and who made it. It may be an issue internally with the CR2.
Bejaymac, It is in DS 4.6.0.18.
Mattymanx, I bought from Vanishingpoint back in 2012.
I'm assuming you mean this http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/productdetail.asp?productID=2235
You might have some better luck if you contact VP since it's their product.
I used to think it was that DS was welding, but I've been told and have confirmed in at least a couple of instances that it's the OBJ that's welded - Poser, and older versions of DS, unwelded the vertices and then rewelded only those the CR2 told them to. So you don't need to move the vertices, but you do need to split them in the original OBJ (by, for example, selecting the part, cutting and pasting it back down in place or by adjusting the export settings in a modelling application).
For models like cars, where parts are meant to open, there has to be a clear gap between the edge vertices of the group that opens and the adjoining groups, otherwise DS4's Poser converter plugin will weld all of the touching (or nearly touching) vertices together when it converts the model into a single skin mesh.
Richard I have a few models that when you load them into DS (1 to 4) as OBJ you can see they aren't welded, without textures you can see where each group is thanks to the shading groups being different, the specularity goes in different directions, I've even draped them in Poser cloth room to check and watched them fall apart. When you load them into DS1 to 3 as CR2 you can still see where the groups are, but in DS4 it's a different story as the mesh has been welded on import.
Check that node to see if Bending is on or not. Could be a simple fix if it is.
Mattymanx, this is what happens when Bending is on.
I'll try contacting Vanishing Point and see what they say.
I just wanted to say that the issue has been resolved. I contacted Vanishing Point and had a very quick response. It now works perfectly. Thank you Bejaymac, Mattymanx, Vaskania, and Richard Haseltine. You all have been very helpfull :-)
Can you tell us the solution?
I'm sorry, FirstBastion, I would, but I have no idea what he did. If you have the same model I do, I would suggest contacting him through the marketplace or product link under contact us.
I think I may have that model. I assume we need to re-download it?
I'm not sure. I would try to contact them over at Vanishing Point first just to be sure.
I'm having the exact same problem with VP's Panel Van. Thanks for the tip, I've just sent them an email explaining the issue. Hopefully I'll get a resolution too.
As someone who drives a PT Cruiser GT I can say I've had the turbo go (twice), the head gasket go, the timing belt go, the power steering go, the tie rods go, the suspension go, and even the logo fell off the hatch, but I've NEVER had the doors do that.
....... up to now.
Now that you mentioned it ... Murphy is listening!
