Custom Categories Not Working...

I'm at my wits end. I've installed the latest version of Studio and I can't categorise anything. Random folders appear empty of content although Daz thinks they're populated.

I can't do anything to fix this, I've reinstalled everything, reset the database, even did a fresh install of windows. Sometimes reinstalling the content works, but only on a few products.

I'm very upset I have to do this at all, but I'm one of those people who had their categories decimated by 4.9.

  • Wheer are you looking - the Categories tree in the Content Library pane, Smart Content>Files, or Smart Content>Products? Are you sure there are no additional filters being applied?

  • The Categories tree in the Content Library. There's no filters selected that I know of and I have I idea how to change filters, besides the files which go invisible are quite random.

  • Micosoft defender. It never caused a problem with 4.8...

  • No, I think a lot of people probably use that. Things that are intermittent issues are tricky to esolve, I'm not sure what to suggest next - it may be worth opening a Techncial Support ticket.

  • I've had this problem and came up with a solution. You just browse to file location, rename the asset and the associated picture and re-categorise.
