Does having more items in my Library slow down Daz3d at all?

Like say If  I was just building a room, would Daz be faster if I only left the neccessary files in my library? EG: scenes/sets/props/environments.

And cut things like people/poses/morphs/clothing etc to a different part of my Hard Disk? This is for Displaying the view port time, not rendering a picture time.

I have Daz3d on a NVMe Drive, but my library on an old 5400 RPM HDD if that matters. i7 6700k 1080ti.

  • Number of morphs affects how quickly items load, and how quickly memory clears on shut-down, but if you are talking about Viewportm performance after everything is loaded I don't think it would be significant.

It can also affect how long it takes Smart Content to list compatible items, I think, but that is during scene composition, not rendering.
