I tested a short animation.  Particles look cool.  Made the background white.  Click to play.

Thank you, Diomede! The bubbles kept escaping out the top like popcorn, lol. I played a lot with velocity and emitter size.

Hopefully the emitters may help someone with mad scientist test tubes or sci fi tanks.

  • modeling kit bashers in real life, this might give us some 3D ideas

Stay safe everybody!  Used to get a lot of hail when I lived in Texas.  Can do a lot of property damage as well.

    Wendy, Cool find!

Maybe we should all model totally random bits, then combine them to see what crazy things we end up with. Kind of like a mad sci fi secret Santa, lol!

I have been following their miniatures videos, a lot of actual modelling and building ideas can be used in 3D

That makes sense. I would never have thought of it.

  • I have been having dramas trying to use something in DAZ studio when I should have just opened Carrara .....

    devil

  • why do some people use ur instead of your as in the possessive pronoun not you are which could feasibly be acronymed to UR at least such as UR an idiot etc.

  • to elaborate further

I see many facebook posts and youtube comments structured this way

    example

ur dog was peeing on my fence so I peed on ur fence

I don't even know how to read that out loud!

UR an inconsiderate dog owner is at least able to be verbalised

Well, only 8 hours late, but I am in Chicago, everyone on the train missed the connections, and Amtrak has put the lot of us up in hotels until arrangements can be made tomorrow.  I actually did do a render of a desert Southwest landscape while stuck on the train.  Will post it later.  I’m not on my computer right now.

See, this is what happens when I stay off the forum for too long! You were right in my backyard and I didn't even know. I would have cheerfully swung by and taken you out for a beer while you were involuntarily stopped in my hometown if I'd known. sad

Oh, too bad.  I would have enjoyed that.  I only walked around a litte bit because the train ordeal was pretty draining, but I did manage to get out long enough to be called 'Hun' and 'Sweetie" several times.  For non-midwesterners, 'hun' is short for Honey, not for the people from Asia who invaded Europe.

Ouch, Wendy - I've spent quite a lot of time in South Texas and even I think that 43 celsius is hot.  Try to stay hydrated!  And in the shade, of course.  I had a whole bunch of cassette tapes melt in the back of my car once.
