sometimes dragging a shader over a plane, plane surface refuses to turn red

    its spiting me, isn't it

sometimes trying to load a duf shader, adds a line to the instances, parenting it instead of applying it, more spite?  cool

Ohh  when using the old poser hand poses, carrara is kind enough to ask left or right

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

theres no drop to floor command?

    it was in poser?

when to use blend, when to use multiply?

i mixed the bump map with the albedo using multiply.  but now i want to add the bump map again but invert the colors.

i can't use a curve filter over the whole body?  would have to do it for each domain?

what does that global shader do?  it doesnt flow down to each domains

i dont understand how i lose the production frame. what am i doing wrong?

viewing proeuction frame and showing production frame are 2 separate steps. easy enough to remember.

I have found that if you set the production frame almost to the edge of your screen in the assembly room and then later resize the render, sometimes the frame will go off the screen.

nothing i do in the shader room changes the volumetric cloud.

so i guess there no such thing as a volumetric shader

Thanks all for recommending Genteal tears!!

It has a similar ingredient to Theoloz, but is different and more gel than water drops, but NOT an icky ointment so I can use it during the day and get on with things.  I got it off eBay UK and have been using it for a few days.  It works well!  I would expect that if it was not high pollen season it would work even better.

THANK YOU  THANK YOU  THANK YOU!

Try opening a plant shader and see if you can figure out how they do that. It's a single shader that allows separate shaders for all domain in one stack.

As for the other thing, try using "Add".

Add will use the 'added' map to brighten any pixels on the 'added to' map. So anything that is not black on the 'added' map will raise the L value (and others) of the other map.

If you use the curve filter, you can simply Ctrl+Drag to copy the curve to the other shaders, then just replace the map that's being filtered. Well, that goes for anything - not just the curve filter.

The volumetric cloud model room is a volumetric shader. It's just not used in the texture room. Same with PrimiVol, which takes thing much further. Brilliant plugin!

I believe that the Fire Primitive is also a volumetric shader. I could be wrong cheeky

all these years been glossing over the insert formula.  can imagine what kind of magics it can do

  • WendyLuvsCatzWendyLuvsCatz Posts: 38,200

you can always make things out of volumetric clouds by surface replication and making the object they are replicated on invisible, there can be several clouds which can have different colours.

clouds can also have a box, cylinder or sphere shape so can fill most containers

out of curiosity, was reading the blender forum and their headaches with content.

to be fair, blender isn't a daz software. and the bridge is freeware.
