is there a way to isolate parts of the body when applying an existing morph?
hi everyone, i've found a pose i like, a surpised expression, but I only want the eyes to be effected, not the rest of the face...is there a way to isolate parts of the figure so, in my case, only the eyes change, when applying the morph?

I think there is a plug-in that might do this but I do not have it (yet).
ah ok. strange, seems like a pretty basic thing to me. the problem im having is that i can't get the eyes of my figure wide enough with the basic eye presents. it's only when i used the "surprised" expression that i get the width i want, but then i also get a wide open mouth with it
i tried exporting the pose and then importing it back in with only the eyes selected, but that doesn't seem to work
Um, what figure are you using? Are you using Daz Studio or Poser? If Daz Studio, do you know which version?
daz studio, the latest
genesis 8
Be aware that in Genesis 8 a lot of the expression sliders are not morphs but are driving facial bones, you could use Edit>Figure>Bake to Transforms to put the modifications on the bones, then zero those on one side.
For morphs, as long as they are not HD, there's https://www.daz3d.com/x-morphs in the store or you can export as OBJ and then bring back via Morph Loader Pro using the attenuation options.
Hi Richard :) thanks for your suggestions. i'm actually trying to modify the morph by editing the vertices, but it comes up with this error message:
-- "Surprised HD" may control one or more morphs, but it is not a morph itself --
i'm concerned that if i buy x-morphs i'll run into the same problem. what do you think?
Right, that is obviously at least aprtly an HD moprh but it is also driving bones - neither of which can be split by X Morphs or Morph Loader Pro. There's no way to split the HD part, but you can do what I suggested to split out the bone component of the property.
