I noticed this only today but my Genesis 8 females, all of them from G8F basic to all the declinations of it, have deformed fingernails. I have tried to reinstall the product but it didn't change a thing. Here's what it looks like:
That almost certainly means there's a character installed with a non-zero default value. Reinstalling the base won't help as it's the add-on that is causing the issue. Load the base figure, then in the Editor tab of the Parameters pane check under Currently Used - is there anything from a character or morph set listed? If not, try enabling Show Hidden Parameters from the option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) and check again.
Solved! Finding the bad morph through the In Use option wouldn't work so I simply backed up my Genesis 8/Female/Morphs folder for third-party characters, deleted all subfolders in it and started to re-add them one by one and reloading a g8f each time. There was a patch-up for Angel Wing's Amanda that was dodgy. Replacing it from the source solved it.
"non-zero default value" I don't follow. Could you explain?
All parameters haev a default value - usually it's zero, or for scale 100%, but if you use the Memorise commands you can chnage that (and you can also set it directly). Alt-clicking a slider will set it to its default value, or you can click the gear icon on its slider>Parameter Settings and see the default value there. When you load a new base figure its properties start with their default values, which can produce undesirable effects.

I have enabled the Show Hidden value but the only "currently used" values are for the eyelashes.

Wow, ok. Thanks Richard, time to go back to Daz school and learn another pile of knowledge I can't apply any where else in this universe. :P
