blank area in render

I am switching from Poser to Daz 3d and am having trouble with my renders.

What is causing this blank area in my renders?

  • Is there an opening in the scene prop there? If you save as tiff or PNG DS will include an alpha channel/transparency for areas without geometry.

It looks like you're using one of the isometric camera views (viewing it from the side and there's no perspective). That blank spot is just the background showing. You can put some type of background behind the set to cover up the blank spot. Or rotate the set so the background isn't visible. Also changing to a camera view that has more perspective might help your render, but that depends on what type of effect you're trying to create.

On the Render Settings tab, under Environment, make sure draw dome is ON.  This option is available in 3 of the 4 environment modes.  You will not see it if you are using "Scene Only"
