As was releasing a billion item on a single day.
I hope this is just a sign that they couldn't fit these items anywhere else because all other days are gonna be just as packed.
I thought the purpose of making a female only Genesis was to make the females more feminine, and the males more masculine. So...

No, the purpose was to require fewer compromises in the rigging and to avoid the problems with cling on auto-generated morphs. But that doesn't mean a male shape can't be made for G2F, and until we get the true G2M it may well be the best way to provide both sexes for some artists, depending on their aims and methods.
I have a quick question. I have read this thread, I have read the promo page.
But the other day when I tried to by 2 items, I didn't get the 40%. I know that's 40% off the original price, and I took out my trusty calculator and it just didn't come out right, so I passed.
The question is..Do I HAVE to purchase a new release item for the discounts to kick in? In this thread it doesn't read that way in the OP, but on the promo page it does, so what is it?
The discounts are only for the new releases in the Sale and associated store sales for the relevant PAs
The items don't have to be new releases. They do have to be from a featured PA's store. If both items weren't from a featured PA's store then there would be no 40% discount.
What items were you trying to purchase?
What is a bit odd that if you want to purchase Mermaid Genesis Mega Bundle and the Mermaid Genesis 2 Mega Bundle then you essentially pay twice for Mysteries of the Depths - not fully twice, as the bundles reduce the prices a bit, but it still doesn't make up for it.
That´s very strange - Esha is one of the featured artists today, but her/his? store stopped being on sale. Or rather new items show 30% discount but older items show full price, zero discount.

The two items I wanted were in Flipmode's store, the Easy Environments Eternal Sands & Greenlands.
He was a featured PA that day.
Yes, I realize that, I guess I should have mentioned that it was in a featured store, Flipmode's, I just didn't have a new releases to the cart.
I wondered if that's why the discounts didn't kick in.
I really hope, that there will be a Catch-up sale at the end of the month, because now I can't buy as much as I want to :-(
I could fill my cart up to more than $100, but have to reduce and to reduce and to reduce, until nearly nothing is left - that's really a pity, because "Under the Sea" is one of my most favourite themes !

No, it shouldn't have mattered if one of the items was a new release or not. Two older items from a featured artist should have also given the 40% discount.

Richard, can you expand on that comment above a little? I hadn't heard this...
Because the figure is female by default content creators will model around the breasts when making clothes, which should look better than the auto-generated morph. Of course one would expect clothing at DAZ, unless designed exclusively for males, to have custom morphs for at least the main female shapes available at the time - but on Genesis most female shapes have their own shape from zero (rather than being a modification of Basic Female or Victoria), and so a shape that post-dates a clothing set will get a completely auto-morph with the full cling effect; because G2F has breasts in the zero state any new figure will just modify that, and therefore there will be less for morph transfer to do and so less cling.

I'm going to assume you meant "why is it not working?" You'll have to be more specific as to which coupon you are referring to. We email a lot of coupons to different customer segments. I'd also need to know what you are trying to apply the coupon towards.
