Installing content on to a microSD card

I just learned how Daz can install and access content in different locations/directories of my choosing...I was just wondering if the speed of the program would be really noticeably affected if it's having to access content from an external source, such as a microSD card, as opposed to an internal/SSD. And is it ok to store content that Daz is using on a 100MB/s SD card?
