A valid PostgreSQL CMS Connection could not be established.

I was having a problem with none of my content showing up in the content manager and got this pop up: A valid PostgreSQL CMS Connection could not be established.. I've tried some basic troubleshooting tips i found, like starting/stopping CMS, reloading meta data, deleting/reinstalling Daz Studio, and so far nothing works. Any idea's on how to fix it? Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Have you made sure that you have one version of PostgreSQL installed? Not the valentina to PostgreSQL conversion tool (which is optional, and useful only if you have an existing content database in Valentina). If so, have you looked in task Manager (or the Mac equivalent) to see if PostgreSQL runs when DS and DIM run? If it is running, what security software are you using?
You did install the PostgreSQL CMS when you were installing Daz Studio?
Thanks for the replies so quick! Yes, it's installed and running. 9 intances of it too.
*PS* I'm not sure if this helps, but when i first started daz the only way i could get it too load stuff was by going through the tutorial and it would make it somehow appear, but now the tutorial just points at a blank square.
Forgot to include them in my reply
Smart Content depends on the database, so it will be blank if the communication is apparently being blocked. What security software are you using?
None, I even manually added it into windows firewall. I remember the pop up said check network, anti-virus and firewall. Could it be my weak internet?
Oh wow. I'm not exactly sure what did it, but I decided to check daz one more time and suddenly its working. Thanks for all the help though!
