AFAIK, it will not work with Genesis as is. Geneis and G2F both lack a standard cr2 (you would have to use the DS exporter to create one) which the app requires.
You also may need to generate an obj file as well (I don't recall if Genesis or G2F have obj files).
I do know with WW, even if you purchase the add on, you need to generate a separate obj file and specifically name to get clothing conversions for Genesis.
I was always curious why it didn't support Stephanie4...
It does. Steph 4 is a morph set of V4. Clothes convertor can add morphs to a cr2. Gen 4 has only 3 actual mesh figures: V4, M4 and K4. All others are morph sets for one of these three figures.
The Gen 5's are morph sets of Genesis and the Gen 6 females are morph sets of G2F.
How well the morphs transfer is variable. I always found this app to be hit or miss in it's operation.
If this is true, then I must confess that I missed quite some bits...
Of course the "unimesh" figures share the same base geometry, but the whole idea of Clothes Converter is to tweak existing clothes to an existing morph of V4, like Steph4.
This is exactly why Clothes Converter explicitly targets Aiko4 and Girl4 - which are other morphs of V4. If the clothes don't ship with "unimesh" support (i.e. custom morphs for A4, G4 and S4) then Clothes Converter will take the source clothes .cr2 and add morphs for.
Is there a way to tell Clothes Converter to use any morph set? Like: A) This is V4, B) This is some "XYZ" morph for V4, C) This is a shirt for V4 and now D) Create me the shirt for "XYZ"?
If this is true, then why are Aiko4 and Girl4 listed as targets? It might as well pick any body morph in your Runtime... (curious now).
I actually bought it recently, and I always have to pick one/some of the given targets for conversion.

Don't forget, S4 was the last of Gen 4 females. I don't believe CC has been updated in quite some time.
As for picking any body morph in your runtime, you could but it won't necessarily work. Morphs have to share verts to work.
Well, of course not... and it wasn't intended to mean this, I was referring to morphs (of V4 of course) rather than "any" morphs for any figure.
In theory a tool like Clothes Converter is quite simple, it simply "answers" a riddle like "if A turns into B, into what kind of D would C turn?". The problem is not the base principle, but the details...
And that's why a generic tool would hardly work. The "morph following" stuff of Genesis/DS is an attempt to do just this, and we all know that it has its limitations... a simple shirt? Works... Tight trousers? Mostly works... High Heel Shoes? Forget it...
Actually I prefer Morphing Clothes by Dimension 3D for this rather than CC.
Ah thanks - never heard of it, but I will have a look.
I only knew about Crossdresser (as an alternative) so far, but ran into trouble. I'm on Mac, but running a virtual Windows XP for stuff like this - which usually works like charm, but for some reasons the Crossdresser demo crashed all of the time, and the developer couldn't assist. So I considered it to be too risky to buy the full version.
I bought Clothes Converter here mainly because of the option to return it without hassle in case of problems - which wasn't necessary, because it runs fine.
My experience with Clothing Converter (starting with 3, and continuing with 4) has been pretty mixed, at best. To the point that I rarely bother to use it at all.
If you use the 'Wizard', and attempt to convert an entire ensemble in one shot, I've generally found that..., well, there's forty minutes of my life that I'll never get back! So I generally forego the 'Wizard', and choose to convert one piece at a time.
Based on my own experiences, CC (sans Wizard) relies strictly on the .cr2 of both the 'donor' figure (the figure the clothing was created for), and the 'destination' figure (the figure you're trying to fit the clothing to). The best results tend to be a function of the innate similarities between the two geometries; e.g., fitting the V3 Morphing Fantasy Dress to M3 works like a charm. (Don't ask; trust me, you don't want to know!)
Unfortunately, this is not always the case. For instance, I tried running CC4 to convert the M3 Tuxedo ('Night at the Opera') to fit David. Yeah, it scaled okay, and most of the morphs transferred, but the end result looked..., well, seriously wrinkled; rather like David had walked home from the Prom (now there's a story!) and got caught in a sudden downpour!
Bottom line: Clothing Converter occasionally works. But if you think it's suddenly going to double, or even triple, your wardrobe options for your other, shall we say, 'less than favorite' figures: Sorry; ain't gonna happen.
I find that PhilC's Wardrobe Wizard works pretty darn well. If you have Poser Pro, using this tool is fairly straight forward, and comes with PP2012 (s well as 2010 and 2014, I think) He also has a standalone version on his website that you can purchase. Granted, additional shapes for support have to be purchased, but for the most part, the prices are reasonable.
