A bit confused on DIM and internal Installer

Which one should I use and what's going on? I use the DIM to download and install my purchases yet they mostly aren't listed when I start up DS. Instead I see them in the library where apparently I have to click on them (they are grayed out) to download and install them. And I don't exactly see ALL my purchases, only about 1/3 of them.

I recommend using DIM to install your products. When properly configured, it works great. The internal Daz Studio installer (Daz Connect) has several long standing issues and intermittent problems with corrupting installed files.
It is important to be sure that the Content Directory Manager in Daz Studio (accessible from Edit/Preferences menu) is configured to use the same library location that DIM is configured to install into. If they are not looking in the same place, products you install with DIM will not appear to be installed in Daz Studio.
