Daz Studio freezes on start?

Hi, I rarely ask questions but lately my DazStudio instalation is screwed up. Was working on a big scene lately then for what ever reason Daz Studio freezed up as I tried to close it, the interface was gone but by opening the task manager I saw DazStudio.exe still hanging in there taking 2GB memory. So I thought OK it just don't want to release the memory, I wonder why DazStudio is slow on that cleaning up by closing anyway so I forced to close the task. Now if I try to open DS the splash screen remains at the point where it says "Connecting to CMS..." and the exe is only using 35MB without loading any interface.

Should I uninstal CMS from windows and install it again with DIM?

Using Windows 7 and DazStudio 4.10.0.123

Nevermind turns out I just also had to force close some postgre.exe processes that still where running.

The upcoming question now is how to install the Content Management Service again. Was uninstalling it by the windows installed programs window. A simple restart would have helped me with fixing all those issues now it seems I can't install Content Management Service.

Thought it will be a downlaodable instalation file but no I had to downlaod the DazStudio4.10 exe installer now running the installation for the second time, but at the end it says installing Content Management Service that thakes a while but once its finished it is nowhere to find. Shouldn't there be a folder called "Content Management Service" or a "ContentManagementService.exe" somewhere I found C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\PostgreSQL CMS so it has been installed?

I was refering the page Check DAZ Content Management Service seems the info there is outdated.

  • This page seems to have stand-alone installers https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_18869
