.dsa props that I downloaded from the store won't load into any scene

Hi all.

As the title suggests I have downloaded some character/scene props from the store: https://www.daz3d.com/pocket-filler

But when I try to load any of them into any scene I can't get it to work. I used DIM to install them. When I try to double click any of the items I get an error message. Pictures below:

When I try it with a blank scene, the error message says I need to have an item selected within the scene. But I have tried double clicking (or alt-dragging) the item into the scene with a character or object within the scene selected and nothing happens.

I think I am using the latest version of Daz3d.

The props are in .dsa format, rather than the usual .duf, but I haven't had much luck figuring out if that's the problem or not, and if so, what to do about it.

Can anyone help, please?

The clue is in the error message you are getting. Do load the prop BEFORE you try to apply that pose.

  • .dsa is a script file - in this case an old-style script-format preset. Presets are used to modify something, a figure or prop that is already in the scene and is selected. Looking at the readme for this product it uses the Poser files (props or figures) to load the models, the presets are then applied to those to give them 3Delight material settings.

Thank you! I didn't realize I needed to look for the actual prop in another location. But I found it and got it working, so, thanks again!
