How do you shoot night scenes? (Lighting)
I am trying to shoot a spooky outdoor scene in Iray but the light is just too bright. I only have one Distant Light set at 25000 lumen and at 5600k. I also tinted it blue to simulate moonlight but I no dice. It's just BRIGHT MOONLIGHT. I know this is possible because I've seen some really cool pictures in the galleries. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?
Thanks for any help!

Adjust the Tone mapping settings in Render Settings, assuming this is Iray - lower ISO, increase f-stop or shutter speed (which is fractions of a second, so higher is quicker), or adjust the gamma value

Thanks for the tips! Both definitely helped me to get closer to where I wanted to be. A few more tweaks based on them and I was there. Thank you both!
Use a spotlight instead of a distant light for the moonlight. More control with positioning and angle spread.
