Could it be possible to develop a plugin to render through AMD Pro Render by converting DUF files to .rpr format.

Yes and no, Luxus is a render plug-in (as are 3Delight and Iray for that matter) but that's taking a scene in DS and sending it to the renderer, not doing a file-conversion all on its own (which wouldn't make sense since it would have to figure out and mimic all plug-ins that generate or modify content). However, I don't know whether there's any sample code you could take as a starting point or guidance.
