floaty hair for underwater scenes?

Okay, I think I have one hair that actually looks "floaty" enough for underwater renders. Can anyone recommend any other with morphs to make the hair float?

Most long styles by 3Dream and Mairy have floatout like morphs Serene and Dione are ones that instantly come to mind

Sylphiad Hair does quite well. I think you'll find some of the morphs in the neck part of the hair.

Kelp hair is free http://www.runtimedna.com/SeaFolk-KelpHair-for-V4-A4-M4-and-H4.html
A lot of AerySoul's/AlfaSeed's hair have wind or floating morphs that can work for underwater scenes.

Another vote for 3Dream and Mairy. I used a lot of theirs for our mermaids. Great morphs.
I used Esidor for several pictures-- it works very well underwater. :)

i actually use this for underwater scenes quite a bit

Something that hasn't been mentioned is Garibaldi or Look at my Hair, hair. If it doesn't have to be morphable for animation, just brush it all up, sculpt it into which ever shape you want.
Good point about the strand hair products.
Also, I remember thinking Calais hair would look really good on a mermaid when I first saw it. I can't believe I forgot that while doing promos.

Quick Calais render... WaterCam Volumetric 0010m preset scene (light zoomed in and angled to front), Genesis with A4 shape, Tori skin, Hitomi bikini.
Esidor and Naoko are fine, but my favourite for fantasy underwater scenes is Kouros Hair (by SAV at Rendo).
And I tried Kelp hair - wow! Thank you, chohole!
I used Naoko Fantasy Action Hair for this one
The morphs in this - http://www.daz3d.com/reby-sky-elite-hair - can give you an floating under water look
If anyone is looking for shorter floaty hair, I just came across this, and I think it would work well:

PMFJI - so that is a commercial product? And it contains the gel lights? It doesn't ring a bell, although typing "watercam volumetric" in the DAZ 3D search box did bring up some gel lights, thanks - http://www.daz3d.com/underwater-ambiance-bundle
In my case (I just now downloaded the upside-down hair for Victoria from another site) my dog "Sticky" has long flowing-type hair like a sheepdog and I would like to make it float a bit... I'm using the DAZ Lorez dog as a stand-in for Sticky (who is a real dog, heh) and it is positioned against a commercial background file... I know nothing about shaders and in the inset you can see where I've just fiddled around a bit to try and make the "hair" float, and I've removed the ear and so on, with postwork.
I have no idea what I'm doing with the dog's "flippers"; after making a couple of physical models out of clay I was amazed that just faking it with a section of darkened background pasted in works quite well (red arrow) and I faked the "gel lighting" on the foot by brightening the levels a bit here and there.
That's the DAZ shark in the background btw. Real nice model.

This is the camera I was using:

The "Underwater Ambience" set is just lights (but very nice lights!) that go well with the camera.
Disclosure: in case it isn't obvious, yes, Camera Magic: WaterCam DS is my product. It released this month during the PA sale.
WaterCam (and my other products) are on sale today...

Would work great for partially submerged hair
I guess Halloween is approaching and you wanted to bring the dead back by necroposting?
It's a 2013 old thread. Anyways, let's keep the ball rolling. Now in 2021 and for anyone that is still interested, though I haven't tried it yet, you could use a dForce hair and apply a negative gravity value or put some fan nodes and see how it goes.
Cheers.
My thoughts also, tried it before and it works pretty well, especially if you use some head movement with the timeline
One might suggest the free Strand-based hair tool in Daz Studio to create your own float-y hair.

Or pose your model and rotate them (say through 90 degrees so the hair will hang down), run simulation then rotate them back.
Prae recently released this. Looks very good and definitely useful for underwater scenes.

I would suggest Leni hair https://www.daz3d.com/leni-hair-for-genesis-3-and-8-females.
Since I am hopelessly addicted to Linday hair, I will also try Soft Classic and Blowout Hair.
