What r the right settings and file type to export to Cinema 4D?

I'm trying to export the actor that I dress and put hair on to Cinema 4D.  I've been able to export the animations with an FBX, but the waredrobe is boned separately and the hair is boned way above the head...with textures..  If I export it as an obj, I have no rigging, no animation, no textures.

If I GoZ to ZBrush, I can get the waredrobe and hair to import, and stay on the actor, but no rigging and zero textures.

This problem MUST have been solved a million times before already... where the heck are those pics of the menu settings or workflow?

  • I've found a partial solution so far, not using ZBrush at all.  I can correctly import an FBX, boned correctly, so her clothes and hair are on her body.  I can then convert the materials to useable shaders with the renderer I'm using at the moment.  Idk how to link one forum comment to another so just search my user name, it looks like I have very few posts... though the other comment isn't much more text.

    The short answer in pictures:

    fbx export settings from Daz.jpg
