Please consider this a contest entry (posted off-site, because I can't offhand recall DAZ's policy on gore/violence--there's a little blood):

    The King Stands Alone
PA Sale Products: Jepe's Leo/Madoc, Esha's Grass, Neftis's Guillaume Hair, Rons Blood, Zev's Skin Overlays (manually applied, since I'm a Poser user). Also uses the Arshavir face morph from my "Men of Yerevan" set available at RDNA. :)

Wonderful render scorpio.... It reminds me of the movie FRANKENSTEIN where he sees his reflection in the pond water. Very emotional moment and render... Thank you for sharing :)

Oh that's a shame. Blame it all on the Cat. They can be disruptive creatures. :coolsmirk:

I'm not sure of the cut off deadlines for each PA product, so I'll enter this one in hopes that Zev0's skin overlays still qualify for week 4. I posted this on one of the threads about the skin overlays, and Sisca commented that it looked like a selfie. He's right, so I locked onto that for my image title.

Edited to add: Just to clarify, this isn't a selfie of me, I'm a woman!

PA new product used: Skin Overlay Bundle (M4 portion used here) http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/skin-overlay-bundle
Also used Face Weight, another PA product from Zev0 on sale during the PA Festival.

The results are in for week 3, and we are happy to announce the winners.

1st Place - Utopian Incident by SabotSsnake
2nd Place - The Apprentice by cjdean
3rd Place - Scrying by MelanieL

Honorable Mention - Waiting by Vanguard

Congratulations to our top 3 contestants. I will add the store credit to your account shortly. Thank you everyone who participated. There were a high number of quality entries for week 3. Judging was difficult because of the quality of the renders. Keep up the good work everyone.

Remember to get your week 4 renders in by next Wednesday at 8AM Mountain Time.

Congratulations SabotSsnake, cjdean, MelanieL, and Vanguard! Terrific pictures.

This thread continues to be a treasure trove of great images day by day, many of which do not end up getting recognized, so congrats to everybody getting your images made and posted into this thread for us all to see. I know they bring me joy to see them whenever I visit, and I'm certainly not alone in feeling that.

Congrats to all the winners... Boy it's getting hard to keep up with you all... I've noticed the winners win ONLY with the NEW PA items, NOT anything BY the PA artists so that may leave me out. I can't afford to BUY all the new stuff every day of every week all month long. I've already spent over $300.00 this month!!! eep... Yesterday was the first day that any of the NEW items interested me. Thank You Jepe for the sale :) I'll post some new renders with the guys shortly. The hair was nice too... and I picked up the grass... another useful item... Posted a render already with the hair and the grass (just lovely) With buying the 3 items I also got Aiko 4 PRO set for FREE!!! HOW could I pass that up??? I guess my budget will have to be stretched til next month.. lol.. Happy rendering everyone.. I best get back to mine. hugzzzzzzzzz all around!

    Well done to the winners.

This has been a great thread, nice to see what people are doing with all their new shiny purchases. I would hate to be the one selecting the winners, there have been so many great renders posted.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Interacting in the forums is the best part of my job, I love it.

Just to clear something up - The rules of the contest state that it can be any item from the featured PA, not just the new releases. We haven't intentionally excluded renders that have used older items.

I really look forward to next week's entries. Already there are some great renders for week 4 in this thread.

I've only just come back to this thread for today, so what a lovely surprise!
Congratulations to SabotSsnake, cdjean and Vanguard.
And thanks very much, DAZ_jared, the judging panel and everyone who's responded already. Good luck to everyone with their week 4 renders.
ETA: Oops, almost forgot to add: and thanks to all the PAs for their great work and generous participation in the Festival - without which we wouldn't have all these great toys to play with.

Thanks to everyone for the 'grats'! And a huge thanks to the PA's that are doing such awesome work. Whenever I do a render that I really enjoy, I feel like I'm sitting on the shoulders of great artists, both at DAZ and the PA's.

Here's an entry for week 4. I was waiting for the Lofn outfit by Dumorian since we got a peek July, and I'm thrilled to be able to use it now. Also I used Esha's Grassy Grounds Megapack, which is incredibly realistic looking and didn't hit my render time like I thought it would. To round out the credits, the figure and Skin is Naida by FWart. The set is Stonemason's Enchanted forest, and the lighting is done with LDP-R.

Not an entry, I don't think this has anything from week 4 in it. My first chance using canary3d's Art Nouveau Fun Kit.

also used deviney's bokeh and fog II brushes, dubious hallway by Jack Tomalin, and the To Wonder textures and the Wisteria Poolhouse, both by ForbiddenWhispers.
