I've got a dForce skirt (bought from store) which I'm trying to use on G8 sitting on a chair. But whatever I do it just explodes. Kind a driving me nuts now:) The simulation seems fine if I just have G8 standing up and nothing else in the scene. But as soon as I put a chair under her and pose her sitting it goes crazy. I've tried making sure the chair isn't too close to G8. Can anyone help please?

The best way i've found is to do an animated drape -
Set the number of frames to 60
On frame zero have your figure in its starting pose and the chair just a little way back from the figure.
Next goto frame 30 and set your figure in its sitting pose with the chair in position (what this will do is that when you do the sim the figure will move into the sitting pose at the same time as the chair slides into postion under her/him)
Under the simulation setting turn of 'Start From Memnorised Pose' and set the simulation from 'Current Frame' to 'Animated (Timeline)'
Thank you both very much!:) I tried sliding the chair under and using 60 frames and that seems to work. Great:)
try this
i find that Dforce "start from memorised pose" use the "Hip" of the character as memorised position
so, move your character forward of the chair by his "HIP" and take it back to the wanted position by his "root"
when you start the "simulate" you will see that your character will start posistion forward the chair and not on it
its more easy than to use timeline
the tips is also usefull when tow charter are simulate in same time and they goes to start in same time to the memorised position
using to move the Hips positions of the two characters - one to left and one to right
then put them back to postion "by using their roots" it will help to simulate them without both dforces stuffs (hairs of clothes) are touching and perturb the simulation
