Is Daz Forcing Us To Use Only New Products?

I needed to re-download some items I had and I noticed the word inactive by some, and some, even though they are in my product list, no longer have a download button. Things like M4 presets, which has no download link, yet much older items also saying (inactive) still have the link. What are they doing to my product list?

You can still download them, either from your product library or through the DIM, but you can no longer buy the, That is why they are marked as inactive. If you have one which is in your Product library and doesn't have a download button, then pease do notify Daz 3D through the zendesk system. Thanks.

If they're the same presets I think they are (I have M4 Presets (Inactive) in my library as well), they're Puppeteer presets. Unless you use Puppeteer in DS, then you don't have to worry about them.
I've been kind of wondering what the inactive meant myself. Been having trouble since the 4.6 upgrade. Was wondering whether the 4.5 version of daz, might be more stable for me.
Some very old stuff has been taken out of the store now and then for the last year or two — but this "inactive" note in our Product Library pages is the first definite sign of which items are now unbuyable. They should definitely still have a download button, though...
Now, this is weird. One of mine, Feather Hair, is inactive and doesn't have the buttons. But it does have a link at the bottom saying it's part of the bundle called "Feather Hair", which includes still-live links to "Colours for Feather Hair" and... "Feather Hair"...?
All of my other inactives seem to still have the buttons, even the individual PC Bonus Pack goodies from six or seven years ago. Looks like a glitch or three slipped through.
I have no downloads but a similar link to a bundle with Carrara 8.5 Beta in my account. Discovered that when I tried to download my C8 files today, after losing the originals -- I bought the Carrara 8 Update -- when my old hard drive crashed last year. It's possible I have the discs somewhere but it sure would be easier to just do a reset from my account page. However, all I can find is that beta, and I somehow don't think it's gonna work as I have not upgraded to 8.5.
Oh, and I also have the M4 presets marked as Inactive in my account, with no download button, just a link to the M4 pro bundle of which it is part. Weird or what?
I don't know about DAZ items, but some of my own PA products are inactive, and here's the reason.
Room Creator and its 2 Expansion packs were all replaced with new updated versions (Room Creator V2), which were free upgrades to anyone who bought the originals. The original product pages were left in the store, but marked 'Inactive'. This was done to allow a coupon to be used, giving them free to previous buyers. DAZ told me that the store coding required it to be done this way. (This was pre-Magento store code, so I don't know if it still applies).

The "Carrara 8 Update-only Beta8.5 files associated" bug has hit some of us - file a support ticket (I am waiting for an answer on mine ...)
I think the store is buggy too. Just put 3 outfits in my cart, the QuickCart showed a $27 total, which jumped to $33-ish when I clicked to view the actual cart. Then I added something different to my wish list, which required I log in to the store. Did that and guess what? Everything in my cart disappeared. Thought I goofed but no, my cart still says empty. Anyone else have this happen today?

If you add something to your cart again, everything else will show up, then you can remove that thing.It's a common problem with the changeover from not-logged-in to logged-in.
The QuickCart sometimes shows $0.00 for an item, which makes its total obviously off, but I've never determined the circumstances under which that happens...at least not well enough to file a bug report.

Odd, it's all back again now and I did nothing other than wait. However, I'm not sure the discount is right. 3 PA items by today's artists get 50% off, yes? But I am only seeing about $13 off a total of $47. Either Daz math is weirder than normal math or something is screwy somewhere.
Is $47 the total of the ORIGINAL price - greyed out on the actual product page usually. If these are items on sale the cart price is already showing the default 30% off price so you can't take 50% off of that.
Off the subtotal, here's what it looks like. So whose math is off? This whole sale is very confusing.
That is as near as darn it 50% of the full price of the items in your cart, so yes $33.44 is the correct price . It is 50% of the original price.
I see. Thanks. After the disappearing cart incident, I needed to make absolutely certain it was right before hitting Buy. :-)
As for the M4 presets being for Puppeteer, I do still use it so it would be important for me to have that.
