Help with importing a fuse character into Daz 3D

I made a character from fuse and exported it as a obj. But when I imported it to daz3D it came out like this.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or do I have to change something in maya before I import the character?

looks like the problem appeared already with the export. did you try to reimport into the original program?

I have a few Mixamo Fuse .fbx models that were available for free prior to/during the transition to Adobe, and I can open them in DAZ Studio. More or less. They all throw those same error messages when loading, Linwelly, presumably because of incompatibilities with the rigging used in Fuse and DAZ Studio. So, once loaded, the models tend to look as they should, but are static. The rather bizarre results that you are getting, mageslayer, could be any of a number of things. I do seem to recall that there was something when I created the .fbx files for download that involved creating or choosing a DAZ figure, but that might have been strictly for animations. It was so long ago now that my memory is a little foggy. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Update: Apparently some Fuse users have experienced issues in exporting/importing .fbx models from Fuse into certain other applications as well. This thread on the Fuse forum site discusses the matter:

If you scroll down to the post by user jonathanc16358770 on 23-Mar-2018, they provide a workaround for Blender that may or may not work for DAZ Studio. The next post in that thread by user elliottb52585677 offers a simpler potential solution. Good luck!
