Pesky Octane

Does anyone know how to remove Octane from Daz Studio? I installed the demo version and now I can't get rid of it.

    Not liking Octane? I have no idea how to get rid of it if the conventional uninstall options arent working.

    it uninstalls fine. Just tried the usually way.

    I have the OrDs2 version and I just add .bak to the dll to disable it as I often need to running batch scripts like the clothing converters

    I tried the usual way several times before I wrote this post, it didn't help.

    There is a Folder "OctaneRender" inside your Plugins folder of the DAZ installation. Deleting that together with your User Settins (can be found in C:\Users\YourName\OctaneRender) should do the trick... I am not sure if there are other places, but only for the plugin that should be it. If you use Octane Standalone I would ask in the octane forum, if you should delete the files in your personal folder, as they could be for Standalone as well.. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the warning about such issues with Octane.

    I will think twice, before I will decide to install it to Daz Studio plugins.

    At last, after several tries, I uninstalled it with standard Windows utility.
