Shopping for Custom Characters

(I'm not sure if this is the correct board to post this, so if the thread needs to be moved, please let me know. I don't want to break any rules.)

Does anyone have any expertise in creating custom character models? I'm working with Daz Studio and Michael 5, but my results so far have been dismal. I'm even open to paying someone for their work.

My goal is to create portraits for characters in an original sci-fi story. In my head, I know how I want the characters to look. In practice, my skills aren't up to the task.

Would anyone be willing to take up such a commission? If so, please PM me to discuss specifics. I have a budget in mind, but since I've never done anything like this before, I need to know whether I've budgeted enough for such a project.

Thanks,
Dorin

If you're only looking to have characters designed using the software and then rendered for your character portraits, then there are guys and gals who can do that at a reasonable commission. But remember, they can't give the models themselves (although they can provide the formulas on how they came up with them).

However, custom character models and morphs are a bigger investment, since that would require much more time and there would be an exclusivity clause.

Perhaps you can elaborate further on exactly what you need? The more detail you provide, the better.
