Dumor3D's new Limo Prince Iray set, anyone get the morphs to work?

nowefgnowefg Posts: 557

The textures are great, the add-on lights work like a charm, the sliders for chop, lower, and tires show up, but nothing happens when they're applied.

Anyone get these morphs to apply correctly?

Also, does anyone know how to locate a PA's PM, so they can be contacted directly?

To any potential buyer of this set, the product, which has been ackowleged as defective for missing/broken morphs by Daz3D, remains in tech support limbo after all this time, and I've just been advised that fixes can take a long time, and they "will let me know" when this product is fixed. It is still being offered by Daz3D as a fully functional product, though.

I've gone for the refund to my PayPal account, instead of store credit on this one..

I am amazed that Dumor3D, such an excellent vender/artist, has let this one slip for such a long time.

Before you go PM'ing any PA's, note that Dumor3D did not make the original Limousine Prince, they just made the new Iray textures. Follow it back to the roots...

Where do you see chop, lower and tires morphs? I don't see those on Limousine Prince.

I never noticed them, either. In the Parameters tab, Prince -> Actor. And they do nothing.

ETA: Looking a little closer, those extra morphs were indeed added by Dumor3D with the Showcar Iray set.

Those morphs are advertised as part of Dumor's product, under What's included.

They are the main reason I bought the set in the first place, and the sliders are there, but they don't have any effect on the model.

When I submitted the ticket five weeks ago, I figured it would be as simple as getting Dumor to send the corrected files, but...

Doesn't seem to be any way to PM Dumor directly, and I'm not PC+ at this point, so not privy to that Forum.

Well, that explains why I don't see those morphs.  They are not part of Limousine Prince Iray. They are part of Limousine Prince Showcar Iray, which I don't own.

No mention of it in the Platinum Club Forum, nor in the PA Commercial Products forum.

The morph files are present, but there is no data in them (i.e., "deltas") to actually do anything, and the sliders have no sub-components to control. Maybe it was just a question of deadlines and hopefully will be completed someday, sooner than later.

Someday sooner or later, as you say. Daz is still offering the product for sale, with the "morphs," though, even though they know there's a big problem. I reported it five weeks ago. No action.

I have to say, I was very excited by the prospect of Dumor3D extending their enhancements of the wonderful Petipet autos. The Iray sets are amazing, and with the added emmision head, tail, and running lights, fantastic. The idea that more comprehensive third party morphs would now be a part of the series... I mean, imagine Limo Prince chopped, with low profile tires! I was really jazzed that i wouldn't have to imagine it, I could just purchase this set at the non-PC+ price and bingo !

Someday, sooner or later is fine, provided nobody's trying to sell it, as is, i.e. as if the morphs worked, before it's been fixed. There's the rub. I don't like being suckered, and that is what this scenario boils down to. Why go through the trouble of saying there are morphs, when there aren't any. Seriously. Why do it that way? As a die-hard Petipet-Dumor3D fan and collector, i would have gotten the set just for the Iray component.

As it stands, i won't buy another Dumor3D product until this one's resolved.

I also have the showcar addon and the sliders are present but they don't work. Very upsetting to me. Thats the only reason I bought the addon.

You have 30 days to return it if you want. Maybe that will get someone's attention.

I did and they gave me a refund. No problem.

Too bad though. Really liked this addon.

Got a notification about a month ago that this product had been fixed, but repurchasing today found that there is no change, the morphs still don't work.

Tried a fressh download of the car but it didn't make any difference.

    Anyone have a different experience?

I uninstalled everything to do with the Limo Prince and then reinstalled. Nothing has changed. None of those particular morphs work at all. I put two identical Limo Prince cars into a scene, changed the morphs on one and nothing changed in the scene, so I rendered the scene, just in case some magic would happen, but nothing different.

Note I have both https://www.daz3d.com/limousine-prince-showcar-iray and https://www.daz3d.com/limousine-prince-iray installed.

Edited to add that I've submitted a help ticket with a link to this thread.

  • Have you tried uninstalling the limousine prince iray, and just installing the limousine prince showcar iray (in case something is getting screwed up by having both installed)

Yes, and it made no difference to the morphs.

  • Yea we're currently trying to get hold of the PA, there was something weird going on but we are looking into it.

  • I believe we’re getting to the bottom of it.

It would be educational to know what the problem was and how it was fixed. Can you tell us?

    Thank you, Jack !

It is such a rush to have this working. The morphs are fantastic. I've wondered for months what these morphs would actually look like, and when I hit the slider for Chop Top, and then Low Profile Tires, and then Widen, and Lower... the grin kicked in and it's still going strong.

It would be great to see more of this kind of add-on for some of the other amazing Petipet vehicles... Dumor3D's Iray sets are stunning, but the (working) morphs add a whole 'nother dimension; out of this world.

Yes the morphs are now fixed, it took a bit to figure out what was preventing them from working. (they would work for me but then stop, then work, then stop.) i updated them yesterday and they went live this morning, glad to know they are still working now! (for information purposes it seems to have been the pathing character length to the morphs causing the issue, we shortened the path to them and that seems to have worked.)

Thanks for fixing it, and double thanks for explaining the problem!
