I've run into this in the last month, so I assume it's a new product that did it. I only have DAZ products bought here on this machine, so it is not a freebie or products bought on other stores doing it. The problem comes when you bend either the upper abdomen or lower chest on the Genesis 8 male. Anybody else run into it or know how to fix it? Screenshots attached.

Could this be related to JCMs for one of the other characters you have? It looks like they are activating even without that character in use. I would select the option to show hidden properties in the parameters tab and then check to see what JCMs are being used. If that isn't the problem, then I'm just as confused as you.
Bump this! I have the same problem and cannot find a way to fix it. Nothing I've seen written here has helped. It sucks because it makes a genesis 8 male products useless until fixed. Anybody else have anything?
Uninstall the last ten male figures you bought, if the problem resolved itself reinstall a few until it deforms again. You can discover the culprit via process of elimination.
I have found muscle and monster products have done this for me in the past.
If you select the 'Currently Used' in the Paramters tab with the affected figure selected in the Scene tab I think it will show all active shaping sliders on the figure selected. Good chance the problem product is one of those.
Any chance you recently bought/installed this product? It seems to be the one that gave me similar troubles.
Hi! If you installed Manhippo (https://www.daz3d.com/anthropomorphs--manhippo-hd-for-genesis-8-male) this the problem!
Uninstalled or you need this character, other gen8 male charater : parameters tab - hidden - search "hippo" - you seed the non zero parameters :-)
I can't believe they haven't fixed this issue yet!
Are you sure it wasn't fixed (for Manhippo specifically)? I have Manhippo installed and am not having this issue currently.
Above the Parameters tab, there should be a square icon with a right-facing arrow and four lines. Click on that, and make sure that Show Hidden Properties is selected. When the G8M is posed (with the deformations), go to the Parameters tab and check Currently Used. Then scroll down and see what hidden JCMs are being activated. The naming of those JCMs should point to the culprit to be uninstalled/fixed.
If you have Mervin HD or Krampus installed, that is the possible problem. Uninstall Mervin and Krampus, and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then you have another character installed that doesn't have JCMs multiplied out that could be causing the problem. Mervin fixes are being currently worked on.
kida crazy serious flaws like that would make it past QA
It happens, It's the PAs reponsibility to make sure everything works correctly when it is uploaded, but there are a few factors that play in as well. One of the major ones being that the 4.10 has problems overwriting sometimes, or it could be a windows problem, I have not exactly narrowed that down. Thanksfully, it seems the new public build has cured most of that. Another factor is of course the tester who is testing the product. Some are more thorough than others, or perhaps in a hurry to get products out and released. So it could be a lot of things.
Sorry for the inconvenience guys. Like I said, fixes for Mervin are in, so should be updated soon.

You caught me, I am indeed an alien :P
Thanks. I've been trying to solve this problem for months. I wish I knew what causes it because I had the same issue with Genesis 3 males too. If I had to guess, it's third party content I installed.
I have the Problem with G8 / 8.1 Female: as soon as I bend a joint, it will deform.
When I check the hidden JCMS of the Genesis Base figure, I have JCMs of 9 different Figures there (none of them recently puchased).
Any suggestions how to fix that?
Take screenshots of the offending JCMs and contact support (assuming all the figures are from Daz: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us). You will need to uninstall those figures until a fix is uploaded by the PA.
It is possible to fix this yourself but it can be fiddly... refer to the attached image.
First back up the figure morphs from, for example:
data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\ vendor name \ product name
OR data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female 8_1\Morphs\ vendor name \ product name
Then load up the base figure the figure was made for (Genesis 8 X OR Genesis 8.1 X). If you save a G8 morph on a G8.1 base figure, it will become a G8.1 morph...
A figure specific JCM should only fire when that figure is dialled in. To do this, there are two controllers - one for the joint to correct and the second is usually the master morph for that part of the character (FBM - full body morph for a body or limb joint, FHM - full head morph for a head or face JCM). Alternatively, if there is only one slider to dial in the figure, it will be that one. This second slot is a multiplier - if the listed slider is not dialled in, even partially, the JCM will not fire.
In your situation the PA has neglected to put in that second multiplier. You can do this yourself. In the parameters tab, right-click and click Edit Mode. Right-click on the JCM and click 'Show in Property Hierarchy'. Expand the entry and expand the Controllers section. It is the 2nd Stage (Multiply/Divide) you want - expand it and it is probably empty. Find the appropriate controlling morph in the Parameters tab and carefully drag and drop it on to this slot. You should see the JCM has deactivated in the viewport and Parameters tab. Repeat this for any other JCMs for that character. Ensure under Attributes that Save With: is set to the JCM name.
When done, zero the figure. Go to File > Save As > Support Asset > Morph Asset(s)
In the window that appears click the arrow to the right of Vendor Name - select the vendor for the figure
Underneath click the arrow by Product Name - select the appropriate product name.
(If you can't find either the vendor or the product, you've got the wrong base figure loaded: G8.1 instead of G8).
In the list below find and tick all JCMs you've edited and click save. Test by loading a new base figure. If ok, repeat for each broken figure.
