Well, THAT's odd!
Hey all,
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but something odd happened. I uploaded my latest boat-load of figures I bought, and there seems to be a problem.
When I click on the "Actors, Wardrobe & Props" tab, it is EMPTY! I seem to have everything still in my Content Library... but this is where it gets more strange.
I leave things highlighted in blue until I get a chance to tag it (I tag EVERYTHING! If I get an outfit, it may say, "Genesis, Scifi, clothing, jacket, ..." If it is a texture or mat, then I also tag it with that.). Once I tag EVERYTHING in the file, the blue goes away, of course, and I can go back at my leisure and tag the "blue" items. This is great when I get new items, so if I need to grab that new V4 character, I type in the name, and I get her and the options for her.
Well, here's the thing... ALL of my blue highlights are gone. I generally use the figures and items for my current projects, and the blue highlight was a reminder of "future material" or of things not yet tagged.
Is there a problem over all? Did I do something "bad?" Can I undo this?
I thought if I closed out of it, and opened it back up, then it would "reset." It didn't happen.
The important thing is the material all seems to be there, EXCEPT for my "saved" scenes. I create various characters and save them as a scene. After I save them as a scene, I can "drop them" into the scenes when I do my cover renders. I would be SICK if I lost ALL of the figures I have created over the last few months.
Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks for your attention, and any help you can offer.

Your CMS stopped working, it needs turned on again. From your Start menu go to DAZ 3D and use the Start CMS link. Then open DS and see if the CMS stays on.
Thank you, Jaderail!
I was uploading my new sets, and I got an error message. I will try that. Thanks for your help!

Rule one: don't panic, nothing's gone. You just can't see it (at the moment).
It sounds like the Content Management Service (a background program that controls Smart Content, Autofit, categorised content views, searching, and a few other functions you wouldn't expect to be related) has failed; it does that occasionally. Are you on Windows or Mac OSX? The procedures for checking and fixing what's wrong are different.
In Windows: first, shut down DAZ|Studio. Click the Start button (unless you're using Windows8 — there are ways round Win8's lack of a Start button, but I don't use it) then click on "All Programs" and drill down through the folders "DAZ 3D" and DAZStudio4". Inside that should be shortcuts to start and stop the CMS — try to restart it, then restart D|S and see if everything's back. If that doesn't work, there are more things to try, but they're a bit more fiddly.
Mac procedures are similar (I think) but I don't use one, so you'd better wait until someone who does turns up to help.
Edit: whups, ninja'd by the expert while I was distracted in the middle of typing... :red:
Happy to have helped.
