"Transfer active morphs" - what exactly it is doing?

The online help says "Transfer the active morphs on the host figure to the items that are fit to it". If the head is selected will it trasfer only the morphs of the head to the items which are fit ti the head (if there are such at all)? Or all the morphs available on the host figure are transferred to all the items which are fit to the figure? If this is so, is this a way to fit for example G2 cloths or hair to G3 figure?

Transfer active morphs only works for parametric joint rigging, used by Gen 4/Poser figures. It will transform all the active morphs to the fitted item.

Thanks. Read about the "figure made by parametric joint rigging" but had no idea what it means.
