    In most other police departments in the U.S. police patrol cars are called cruisers, squad cars, sector cars, radio cars, etc. 

    In the NYPD RMP stands for “Radio Motor Patrol” the NYPD uses jargon that is exclusive to the NYPD and not used by other law enforcement agencies in the U.S.

    it’s like a hidden Easter egg, I missed last week’s in spite of buying stuff and only know what this week’s is because of a email glitch that sometimes happens where I get a PC+ newsletter

    Most of the people I knew used to call them RPs... If anyone asked I told them it stood for “Rodent Powered”... but that was in reference to the 80s Chrysler products.

    I remember learning that you can do a fake charcoal sketch by sticking a B&W negative in your slide projector and shading the light bits on the canvas to make it uniform.

    Never seen anything on this technique since, as I developed B&W film in my darkroom I did quite a few of these fake artworks devil none seemed to have survived
