Texture painting - realityPaint or 3D-Coat?

Hello!
I recently started modeling in Hexagon and this is much fun. Now I need a good program to paint textures on my models. After some google research I found 2 programs:
realityPaint (former Blacksmith 3D) and 3D-Coat.
I have downloaded the trial versions of both, but I still can not decide which one to buy. They are both doing the same. D-Coat looks a bit more professional and has much more possibilities. realityPaint also does a good job (especially with UV mapping) and is a bit cheaper.
So, are there any guys and girls out there who use one of these programs and can give me some advise which one to buy? Or is there a third option which I did not find yet?
Please let me know your opinions and suggestions.
Thank you!

I can't judge between them, since I don't have Reality paint and have made shamefully little use of 3D Coat, but I will note that when I was using the demo of 3D Coat, about half-way through the period I received an email from the publisher offering a useful discount; they may not do that any more, but if they do it may affect the price comparison.
There's always Sculptris. It's a little wonky but it's free.
Didn't get a discount offer when I was trialling 3dcoat earlier this year but I suppose it could have got lost in my spam filter.
With regards to realityPaint I've not used it myself but I've seen over on rdna that peopel have been unable to get in touch with the developer recently when they've run into issues.
Er ... when you say 'wonky' what do you mean?
Is in unstable, idiosyncratic, bug ridden? ....
I just typed in DAZ and 3dcoat to see if there had been discussion on this,

Here's part of the thread- and you need to give it time to load as its from the archives:
"I've got 3d-Ccoat 3 - no doubt about it, its a gem! Given that its a great object painting tool I have to admit its also the reason I'm in no hurry to upgrade to Carrara 7 as much of the new stuff is to do with UV and object painting which I already have covered via 3d-Coat. (Not saying I won't upgrade my C6.21 just not at the moment.) "
and this from another DAZ user:
"Just a demo of the interaction between the too. I'm quite impressed with the UV map and ease to paint in 3D coat. A fine application to own in conjunction with Carrara 7 Pro. "
and when asked about importing into Carrara:
"The process is not that difficult. That is the tutorial i am working on at the moment. But basically it works like this......
After you have created your voxel sculpt you need to turn the model into real polygons. There are several ways to this in 3d-coat.
1. Auto Quadriangulate
2 manually retopo
The auto works very well on organic sculpts.
So the work flow would be this (simplified) Very Happy
Sculpt->Auto Quad or Manual->merge into 3d-coats painting area with auto uvs->Paint->export low poly model .0bj with displacement, color, specular and normal Maps--> import low poly model into carrara--> add maps and use displacement or the Baker plugin for normal maps-->Render. "
and this from that thread:

I use both. While 3d Coat has moree modeling tools and the cool autoretopo tool the RealityPiant has some distinct advantages with its unique per pixel painting.. This allows you to paint CAD low polyp and unevenly distributed mesh objects with precision that no other paint tool can achieve. RP also is focused on Poser Daze and Dawn figure Uv. 3d Coat is cheap on Steam.
Thank you for all your answers! Not an easy decision, even now after reading all this. I think I will go on with the trials for some days and see which program is more comfortable for my needs.
Or they no longer do it - this was a couple of years ago, at least.
