Poser to Triax Rig Issue involving magnets

Hi,

I'm trying to convert an older Poser figure to a Triax Rig in DS 4.10.  However, after converting the figure to Triax, the magnets stop working.  They still exist on the figure but they no longer work.  New magenets don't work either.  I get an error about missing geometry in the figure.  I don't have enough experience with DS to know what I have to do to fix this.  Does anyone know how to get the D-Formers to work or how to convert a figure with this error?  Thanks.

R

Were the magnets applied to a specific bodypart? From memory for a TriAx figure you need to apply them to the main figure, not a bodypart directly, so I would try using the "add node" command in dform pane to add the main figure to your converted magnet.

  • What are you hoping to achieve? Conversion, on its own at least, is not going to improve and may degrade the rigging.

Thanks, Leana.  I'll give that a try.

Richard, essentially, I'm trying to convert an old Poser to DS file format.  However, saving to the DS library doesn't work without converting the rig to Triax in 4.10.  Do you know how to save a Poser rig to the DS library without doing this?  Thanks.

  • A Scene Subset should work without having to do any conversion.

  • Saving it as a Subset worked perfectly!  Thank you!

I also had the same issue when convert Poser model to Triax Rig.
After I tried Leana's method, issue was completely solved.
I can't believe this is so simple! I have been stuck with this issue for at least a year.
Thank you so much Leana, you are my savior!
Thank you too, RedSpark. Because my English is very poor, i don't know how to clearly describe this issue. So I have never been able to ask questions.
If anyone with the same issue, try this!
