Product Install Question

I recently purchased the "Genesis Starter Kit -- Hexagon and DS4 Pro Edition Tutorial from Fugazi1968" in the PA Festival sale. This comes in 2 part and both are .exe format.

Can someone tell me where these should be installed to? I have no clue if it should go to the Daz Library, or the Hexigon library, or in the Main C: Files or in a separate folder.

Any Help will be appreciated. :-/

    Since the main component of the product, according to the product page, is a set of videos you would put them where you put other training videos rather than in either application. If one of the installers is smaller that may be the starter mesh, I'm not sure where that would go - if it's OBJ or a Hexagon native file then probably anywhere you like in your Documents folder.

    Before anything else, let me say thank you so much for the help Richard, do really appreciate when someone takes the time to help me.

    So would I create any problems for my Daz or Hexigon if I were to create a new folder in my Public Docs section and title it "Daz-Hexigon extras" and put files I am unsure where to install there?

    And if that is fine, if I were to create a link to that folder in the applications (should the product I am unsure of end up to be needed in either application) so they recognize that location would that work out okay instead of installing things over again?

    Ah yes, while we are on the subject of installs, I have one for Carrara 8.5. Can both 8 and 8.5 be installed on my pc at the same time.

    If the answer is yes .... will 8.5 Install itself side by side with 8 or do I need to create an 8.5 Folder on C: in the appropriate location for it to install into. Still have not got around to installing 8.5 because I have been fervently trying to learn to use the other programs I have. Have to say it has been a an adventure in frustration so far, but still working at it. One has to assume the it will sink in eventually :roll:

    I'm not sure that there is anything for Hexagon that has to install to a set location, though if there is it would probably be the DAZ 3D\Hexagon folder in your documents folder. For DAZ Studio and Poser it's generally safe to install everything that gives you a choice to any folder you have selected as a content directory/external library (or conversely, to select the folder you install to as a content directory/external library): plugins and shaders won't usually ask where they should go (if they do, it will mostly be add-on content that you are being asked about, not the active component, but check any notes on the prompt page).

    Carrara 8.5 can coexist with 8, but it does need its own folder to do so - the default name should be different from the Carrara 8 default.

    Sorry for the delay in answer, life got busy. Thanks for the info that will be very helpful, and I will make sure to make a seperate destination folder for 8.5 so it dose not eat up 8.
