Old Dynamic Cloth Plug-in

I still use the old/original dynamic cloth plug-in since dforce does not work well on my computer. I've noticed the last hand full of times I've used the original plug-in that the simulation times are taking almost 3 to 4x longer than they previously did. Has anyone else who is still using the plug-in noticed this issue?

The plug-in itself has not been updated, just recompiled, in the recent builds of DS - aas far as I know the two versions of dynamics are totally separate and have no effect on each other.
